  • I have the app on my phone and tablet, and I love it. I'm, I guess you'd say, "older" but nope, this is the easiest way. I have all my recipes and foods I've entered, and everything logs properly, no guessing. So for me, this is the way I keep no track!
  • This exactly. I did have everything set to private including workouts and logging in, but it's kind of nice to see that come up in my feed, and one of my close friends and I are hitting the gym hard so it's nice to see it in writing.
  • This person is smart.
  • Can you fit in an extra workout on the weekends? I still enjoy my wine during the week (and maybe some vodka on the weekends ;) ). I always use low-cal mixers like Crystal Light with vodka (plus that's a lot of extra water!). However, as mentioned I also find my willpower does tend to slip a bit when I drink, so I'm trying…
  • *kitten* happens as they say. You can't change what happened yesterday but you can make today better. As stated previously just log it and move on. Maybe try to fit in an extra workout or eat really clean (NOT cutting calories because then you will just be too hungry, but eat healthy foods). Everyone slips up at times…
  • Wow, good for you! That took hard work. Enjoy the summer!

  • Exactly. I agree with a lot of what you've said and find I'm the same. I hate it if something I brought to work for lunch just doesn't tickle me at lunch time, but then I'm stuck. I hate logging something that puts me over for the day (but my goals lately include logging everything so I'm stuck with that for now). I guess…
  • If I work out in the morning, I need to eat a little something. If it's in the evening, I find I'm usually okay from lunch or my afternoon snack. Just try a few different combos and see what works best for you. I know people who have to eat something pretty substantial about an hour before working out in order to have the…
  • Ug, evening snacking is the worst for me too. However, I've been working out a lot and so I have extra calories to play with. As mentioned could you do that? Sounds like you are really busy....maybe after kids are in bed you could do some exercise (even go for a walk) and that might distract you. Or try some tea or broth…
  • Hahaha....was coming in to see if you were a spammer....but nope, it's really true! ;)
  • I have done it in the past and I loved a lot of the foods. Unfortunately it's not in my budget right now. Good luck to you!! It really can work (I lost 45 lbs on it many years ago).
  • I love pizza. I love Thai food. I love subs. But I know for MYSELF that I cannot eat these often, or at least not without modifying them to be healthier (less oil, less bread [for calories only; I eat plenty of carbs!], less cheese :'( ) Now I am eating much more veggies, quinoa, or smaller portions of the things I really…
  • Hey there! I'm doing the "eating healthy and exercising" thing too! Looking to lose 30 lbs to start. Add me if you like!
  • Welcome back! I was "off the wagon" for a while as well. Just got back into tracking all my food and working out. We can do this!
  • I don't worry too much about the fats; I love avocado! But yes, as suggested, you could tweak your settings or stop eating foods higher in fat (but really why would you want to; they're delicious!).
  • I haven't reached my goal yet but feel free to friend me. I'm working out hard to get to my first goals, and then hoping to "reach for a little more!"
  • I wouldn't put your lifestyle as active if that's the case. I believe "active" is something like when you have a really active job (like a waiter on their feet all day, or construction). I have my lifestyle set at sedentary (I'm at a desk all day) but then I work out hard most days for an hour. So, my base calories are…
  • Good for you! It's hard to keep focused when you feel you're stalled, but you did it!
  • amazing work!! You go girl! Thanks for posting!
  • Great story and pictures! Thanks for the inspiration!
  • If that's all you're eating maybe that's the problem? It really doesn't seem like enough food.
  • You might, but you've got youth on your side so that will help. Add weights into your routine to help fill up the space left by the fat. Also, I say moisturize everything, every day! This helps keep the skin supple (I guess IMO, not sure if there are studies to back this up, but I find it helps me! :p ). Yes and as…
  • If there is one thing I have learned on MFP it is you can't spot burn fat (well I've actually learned a lot more here, but that is one of the things!).

  • Sorry to be a downer but I want my dad's double bypass surgery this week to go well and him to be able to recover quickly... :'(
  • Haha, this is awesome. I love that you're ordering "with style". I do try to stick with salads or wraps, grilled meats not breaded or fried, light on sauces or stay away from creamy sauces/dressings. Some of the items you mentioned aren't in Canada :-(
  • Start doing some weights in your workouts. You need to fill up that space left from the fat. As mentioned, really only skin removal surgery can get rid of it. I do moisturize everything every day, and I think it helps with SOME elasticity, but I also have some sag that I think I'll just have to live with.
  • I probably drink more wine than I should....edited to say, but I enjoy it!! :p
  • I used to get so sick of my mom's cooking growing up because she'd always cook the same things and came from the meat and potatoes generation. Now when I go to visit it's my dad who cooks usually (and I do love that). But now that I live on my own, I love holiday dinners. It's the one meal mom still has a hand in. Her…
  • Yes, Pinterest is awesome! Many of the recipes are very easy and use common ingredients. I have a hard time too sometimes because I am cooking just for myself and don't want to eat the same thing for days at a time. If you have space you could freeze some portions of different things so that you have food on hand and just…
  • I am just responding to the OP; I haven't read everyone's responses. For me, I keep track for myself. I am just getting back into tracking and frankly I don't need or want comments on what I'm eating. I know all my choices aren't the best but for now I'm concentrating on logging it all even if it puts me over.
