i've been training for about four years and i'll let you know when it happens to me. i'm kidding... slightly. we all go through phases where working out and eating right kinda sucks, and you'd just rather sit on the couch and Netflix and Pizza. but soon enough you're going to love the exercising. it'll take a while, and…

the secret isn't waking up earlier. it's going to bed earlier. and that generally involves avoiding caffeine, heavy foods, and alcohol before bed so you can sleep comfortably. i also suggest turning off or avoiding electronics so you can fall asleep quicker and easier.

personally, i like to sign up for races. they give me a goal to strive for that is performance based, not based on looks.

having a crappy day and needing a break is fine and normal. but honestly, to be expected to have a high level of motivation consistently is unreasonable. sometimes you just have to get out there, turn on auto-pilot and do the movements.

i have a shirt that says almost exactly this. if you are reading any condescending attitude, it's probably because you relate to it.

i'm starting my fifth season as a triathlete. running sucks for me too. i've done a bunch of sprints and olympics, and one 70.3.

i have had similar questions, for the same reasons. Yes, log them. also, pick up the book "Racing Weight."

get a scale, and most importantly, get a food scale.

stop working on your abs every day or it will produce the exact opposite results you want.

you can speed up by 20 seconds per mile for every ten pounds you lose. i dropped about about 20 pounds, and took nearly ten minutes off my best half marathon time.

the ones that fit.

i don't know a lot of 27 year olds looking to run 1.5 miles under 9:30 minutes. and it always seems to be with just a month to go.

you go in and you say "this is my budget." also, you can ask if they have any discounts on last years models, which they might have because they're looking to get rid of them as the new bikes will be coming out shortly.
