you seriously cannot even taste any spinach that you put in and blend. i was doing a smoothie that was spinach, orange juice, frozen berries, and two tablespoons of protein powder.

if you get dehydrated during a run, you are most likely dehydrated way before you ever take a step outside your house. try to maintain a high level of hydration throughout the day, so that you can avoid carrying extra items during your excursion.

do push ups.
-
so you're not following a program at all.

very hilly. i've been told that if you can do the Half distance well, you can pretty much do any 70.3 in the country.
-
most likely i'll be doing this one. it's a club race for me.

http://www.halhigdon.com/training/51122/10-K-Training-Guide-Novice-Program this is an 8 week running program. i recommend running outside as much as possible. breathe through your mouth.

i sign up for races. even if i have a bad week due to work or being under the weather, it forces me to get back on the horse instead of prolonging it.
-
eat less. i try and have some veggies and some chicken on two slices, and call it a meal.

drink a gallon of milk a day

banana and a cup of coffee

always leave yourself extra time in the morning, especially the first few times, to shower, change, and head to work. as far as food goes, you just need to pack more food with you. invest in a cooler lunch bag, probably one big enough to take breakfast, lunch, and your protein shake with you. pack it all the night before.…

i estimate my local nyc pizza slices at about 230 calories.

every once in a while i get the craving. one cigarette every once in a blue moon will not turn you into a smoker. in fact, for me, i kinda realize why i hate it and throw away the cigarette half way through.

most mainstream yoga classes and videos are pretty secular. check out leslie fightmaster yoga on youtube. i don't know what's up with her "fightmaster" label, but her youtube videos are pretty great and cover a broad range of yoga techniques. you can play and watch one without participating to see if it really conflicts…

thats a great mentality!!

i was expecting you to talk about your 4-a-day starbuck frappuccino addiction. black coffee will not limit your ability to lose weight. even a little cream and sugar in it won't hurt as long as you count it all.

i hated exercise, until i found one i liked. Cycling is awesome. doing it outside, with a nice view, and you'll forget you're getting a workout it.
-
sign up for a race. a half marathon, a triathlon, something. it'll keep you focused long term.
-
wait, are you on a treadmill or on the elliptical? i'd start doing cardio every other day. i know former anorexics can be a little all or nothing, but remember, if you give it your all for three days straight, it'll be nothing for 3 days after that. invest in a foam roller if you're working out from foam. use it before…

the swim is the shortest part of the race, but i know most people worry so much about it. remember, it's just a swim, and in the grand scheme of the whole race, it will not effect your overall time that much.

would love to do an xterra one day. not this year though.

they are really cool stickers

sweet potatoes

that what we do with my two year old that is potty training

i sign up for races. i train hard, and fuel my body accordingly. when i cross the finish line, i'm usually rewarded with a medal, a t-shirt, and a beer, and if the day has gone really well, sometimes i get to step on to the podium.

i say go for a run. just go, no app or anything. run for a bit, stop and walk, start running again, etc. don't over think it, and before you know it you'll be running for 20 minutes straight.

why are you lacking motivation?
