Sizes have definitely changed! My stats are similar to yours (5 5 124lbs 35 23 36) and a gaps 0 high waisted skirt had to be taken in. Its ridiculous. Its hugely vanity sized! I'm not a 0! Anywhere! Nor am i less than a 0! I'm a 2 on my best days!

I find that my workouts timing and my meals are important. If I eat sooner than an hour or longer than 3 I'll get sick. Pure Barre (I have the original, the production quality is low but the work out is GREAT) is so intense on the thighs and calves, I love it. It'll make you shake during plies. It doesn't burn as many calories as booty barre, but its really intensive focused toning.

Water weight/retention from sodium, hormone fluctuations even though its supposed to be over, scale got moved? It sounds silly but I was told you shouldn't move a scale because it messes with calibrations (i am not a scale scientist, or any scientist, obviously).

Sugar hits your blood steam, your pancreas sends out insulin. Then insulin brings it to the liver (i think) where glycogin forms and is stored for energy. You're supposed to have enough saved for the day, when excess glycogin builds, it forms as fat storage instead. Too much unused energy =fat storage.

It can take up to a year to balance out, sometimes more. Hormones are really tricky. I'm currently recovering from my own birth control debacle. It screwed up my blood pressure, so i sympathize. I keep checking to see if I'm not high anymore lol

In terms of taste + health an ex of mine taught me peanut butter and banana slices. Its amazing, but you have to be careful with the amount of peanut butter because its calorie dense. Usually i just put a lot if flaxseed and suck it up :/ lol

Honestly, I'd invest in heavier free weights. If you're a home exerciser (I am) you'll need heavier than 4lbs. Completely agree. If I'm not a little bit uncomfortable, i don't feel I'm working hard enough! Haha.
