  • With regards to chain restaurants... The Cheesecake Factory The Melting Pot (LOOOVE love love love) Legal Seafoods More local places... Red Bamboo (Soho in NYC) The Park Steakhouse (Park Ridge, NJ) Wasabi (New City & Nyack, NY) Mt. Fuji (Hillburn, NY) Jersey Boys (New Milford, NJ) and pretty much any sushi restaurant in…
  • Even though I'm a 34DD for the life of me I cannot sleep in a bra. I pretty much freelance it the minute I get home. Yeah my $60 Victoria's Secret Bras reaaaaally go far :noway: But when it comes to gym time...it's a bra & a sportsbra...and a tank top with the built in chest support....& I'm still bouncing all over the…
  • Oh I'm glad I'm not the only one. When I lived with two female roommates, it didn't feel out of the norm to have crying bouts, frustration, moodiness, general hatred of the males species etc etc. Now I live with my boyfriend... I feel like I'm crazy... He looks at me like I'm a ticking bomb sometimes... I questioned my…

  • use tinypic or photobucket and make sure you change the tags to lowercase letters :flowerforyou:
  • I work third shift & day shifts as well so I hear you on the annoyance of logging. My third shift runs from midnight-8am....so I use to have my diary set up from 8am to 8am in intervals; 8am-noon, noon-4pm, 4pm-8pm, 8pm-midnight, midnight-4am & 4am-8am. MFP allows you to have 6 costumized sections. I would log my…
  • Ive used the Ninja at my mothers....pretty awesome but I prefer my Cuisinart multifunctional cook & blend. It's higher on the price but well worth it.
  • YAY go giants! Good thing you are planning! I am going to a superbowl party right after work and I know there will be hardly anything healthy. I am planning on having a few beers, snacking on the veggies, have a baked potato instead of fries. But I am already preparing myself to be okay with having a a bit of a…
  • So far! 2/1: ? 2/2: 2405 2/3: 15,226 (yay) Working doubles today and tomorrow....meaning I'll be sitting on my behind for most of these two days and wont be doing much walking (desk job). I will be back at it on monday!
  • FIrst two days of Feb were LOW: 2/1: ? and 2/2: 2405 :grumble: lazy day 2/2 so far: 12,559 and it's only noon. BUSY morning. Can't wait to see how far I can go today, so motivated!
  • I wear a HRM during spin classes. I always work my *kitten* off and walk away sweating like crazy. I burn 350 - 450 calories per class. If you want a more accurate burn, invest in an HRM...you can get a pretty decent one for 40-60 bucks. Totally worth it especially if you'd rather know than guesstimate. :flowerforyou:
  • Bumping for the quiche! I was working full time and getting my undergrad full time as well last year....and traveling between the suburbs & NYC three to four times a week. I would always stash protein bars (pure protein, met-rx, even a couple of atkins) that I'd nosh on between a protein shake and lunch. Sometime Id throw…
  • That depends.... Can't really tell since your diary is private. If you're eating ENOUGH and a nutritious, balance diet...and NETTING at your BMR or AT LEAST 1200 (netting!!) then it's bad hunger....it's your body screaming out for the treats you were having before you started cutting them out. Think of it as junk-detox If…
  • Bumping this so I can make them later! :-) TY
  • I've got my hand up for IBD. Baked beans would def do you in...I am religus about JuiceFestiv Prebiotics, coconut oil supplements & papaya enzyme after my biggest three meals (or I break them up to cover snack that may upset my tummy). My IBD acts up to spices, milk (not hard cheeses), simple carbs, beans & legumes, most…
  • That's an amazing fridge. I'm gonna bump this thread for later. When I get home from work I'll be posting my little nook of goodies :-)
  • Mondays: cardio kickboxing Tuesdays: Morning Zumba class. Evening weights & a Spin Class. Wednesdays: Spin Class Thursday: Light Cardio & strength training Fridays: Spin class. Some weights & then Zumba. I use to run 4-6 days a week but blew my knees out a few years back...hence I piled on some weight. Spin seems to be the…
  • Wimberly...I wrote you real quick note on one of your post. Here is my personal logic...I TRY to follow it but obviously, I'm not perfect :blushing: I think no one should eat TOO far below their BMR (which is what your body needs for daily functions and homeostasis) Mine is around 1450...I aim to eat 1350-1500 calories a…
  • Personally I do like them. Just keep an eye on the serving size for each one. I believe the margarita is 100 cals for 5 oz. So over rocks it's an awesome drink! A lot of the larger chain restaurants have the 'skinny' versions...Applebees has skinny margaritas & skinny mojitos. LOVE THEM!
  • I'm a hard believer in calories in and calories out. Excess of calories = weight gain...whether it be calories from fat, carbs etc. "A calorie, is a calorie, is a calories....is a calorie". 1 gram of carbs = 4 calories 1 gram of protein = 4 calories 1 gram of fat = 9 calories Nutritionally....yes, it's 'best' to keep a…
  • I'm 100% addicted to shoes! Especially pumps!!! Gotta love boots too though! I have a weakness for Guess, JS, Qupid, J.Lo, Aldo, Via Spiga and and virtually any pair from Victoria's Secret  I'm also obsessed with things being in their place. Hence my apartment needs to be in tip top shape. I loooove keeping it clean!
  • Possible allergy, see your doctor. My DR himself once told me he was in his mid 20s when he figured out he was allergic to a specific RAW vegetable (forgetting which one)....cooked, sauteed, steamed was fine....but he went into anaphylactic shock after consuming the said raw vegetable on an overseas trip.....scary
  • My Cuisinart Blend & Cook Soup Maker; it's a monster! Perfect for a cold smoothie, amazing to sautee & cook soups in My Cuisinart Pro Classic 11 cup Food Processor My J.A. Henckels Knife Set My Keurig <3 Oh I love it all!
  • Jermna, that's an AWESOME loss! Ratsyroo...yes net at LEAST 1200. Check your BMR...maybe eating at that level for few days would help. It's still a deficit but it's an estimate of how many calories your body needs just for basic functions (digestion, maintaining homeostasis and etc)
  • i actually have three gyms I go to lol. NYSC....which is $40 a month. I have the core membership which is cheaper than their passport membership ($90) plus the one I go to doesn't have a pool therefore it's cheaper than the other NYSC in the area. Then there is the gym in community (I live in a private apartment…
  • Hi Nat. CONGRATS on this journey. I struggled with EDs since my early teens, relapsed three times...hospitals, feeding tubes the whole nasty shebang. I've been in recovery from my last battle for almost a year now....but you know how recovery goes with the weight gain. I'm trying to get fit and healthy! I love motivation &…
  • Congrats! Stay motivated to eat super healthy and treat your body great!
