AWE Tea you are doing ABSOLUTELY amazing! I know it's easier said than done to remind yourself that your body is going through a lot of changes. Try and focus on the measurements rather than the scale. A lot of of have this love-hate with the scale...it often contradicts our progress (as in your case) or propels our…

YAY! So glad to find this thread. I've been struggling with scalp psoriasis for years. Minor outbreaks on arms, huge ones on my scalp to the point I lost 50% of the hair on my head. Not thinning but thick, 4-5 inch diameter patches. I wore head wraps for an entire year :ohwell: Anyways, as you all know it gets better and…

ahhh the all or nothing thinking. I struggle with that....it just comes with practice and remind yourself that 100 or even 200 calories over your goal is still UNDER maintenance! I still fight with this once I go over by 400 calories which puts me at maintenance...then I just order a pizza with my bf and we pig out in…

I took oral contraceptives for about 4 years before switching to mirena. The pill def caused some weight gain for me and then I switch brand and WOMP I was a walking basket case that couldnt stop eating....struggled for three months on it and switched to the ring....which I LOVE. No massive weight gain, less craziness…

Go with the heart rate monitor number but I wouldn't recommend using hers anymore because it will give you a wrong caloric burn. Most decent HRM require an initial setup of height/weight & sex....combining that with your heart rate gives you a pretty decent estimation of how many calories you're burning. So if her data is…

wow....I had a massive rant there! lol

I'm a very low maintenance friend....I don't require daily phone calls or texts...I don't need to do everything 24/7 etc etc. Honestly I've lost A LOT of people who I thought were 'friends' because they were so high maintenance ... like if I had a drink with someone and didnt invite them, went to the mall and didnt invite…

Okay, So I've had a super rough week. Been sick, so I'm taking medication that puts me off kilter....bloated, working overnights constantly blah blah blah. I'm hoping to shock myself back into some sort of normalcy. The one thing I did VERY well this week is keeping up with my exercise, which actually HELPS my joint pain!…

BUMP I may look into this, especially around TOM, might be nice to reduce the bloating and water weight

Hey everyone. I'm sorry for not being around the past few days....I feel terrible not being able to offer supportive comments or the sort. I've have been sick again the past fews days. OOO Wimberly...I have a mouth on me so I would have lashed her right out if she kept going after you told her you're going to get the baggy. Then again, the dynamics on a Marine base are very different as far as I've been informed (one of my friends married a marine who was stationed in camp Lejeune), correct me if Im…

I did a curiosity induced unofficial scale check this morning....has not budged, worse yet, I'm up half a pound. As I glance at my diary....I was over on Saturday, Sunday & Tuesday. Not enough to cause a weight gain but....who knows! Anyways, my boyfriend just came home and said our friends confirmed dinner plans for…

Awe Wimberly, love that your dog keeps you motivated.

GJ everyone. I hope everyone is taking day one of the second week by the horns! MarineWifey....no clue how or why really the scales differ....When I use to weigh on old scale at my apartment & sometimes on my mother's scale at her house...Id get a 5 lb difference!

OOPS, I forgot! Thanks for the reminder! Weight loss goal: 10.2 lbs (This is a desired loss including the water weight I gained over the holidays) Going for 132 lbs! Weight loss total: 6.6 lbs (Week 1) Week 0: 142.2 -- starting weight (post Holiday bloat & gain ::GASP::) Week 1: 135.6 (-6.6 lbs; a lot of water weight lost)…

OKAY LADIES! Week 1 is coming to a close & week 2 starts tomorrow. I have to say you are all doing absolutely awesome & it is so motivating & inspiring to see everyone burning up those calories, logging, & always improving. I think most of us had a rough Saturday but I think the weekends are always a challenge (even for me…

Great set up! Also, I HAVE been finishing my diary....but I do it on my iPhone since breaking out my laptop before bed is a little annoying. I think for some reason the iPhone app does not post on the news feed if its after midnight SMH.

Did a double whammy today with my workout...Spin & zumba. Mimi...so TOM is still MIA lol. I weighed in this morning and I think I may use that weight on Monday as my "official weigh in". Unless I am still waiting by Monday....then I'll be running to the drugstore for a preggo-eggo test and then logging my official weight…

Hello ladies! It's wonderful to have all your support and have all of you inspire me to push further and be healthy. So far I am meeting & exceeding my goals! I work in Guest Service & in-house communications at a local hospital (it's technically switchboard but we do all emergency contacts, medical communication, code procedures & information updates on top of answering regular incoming calls. So we're like two departments in one) all clerical, not clinical...so you'd think my…

Everyone seems to be doing awesome. WTG ladies. I ended up having to work 8am-4pm today and now I am back for a midnight-8am shift so I didnt get to exercise like I wanted to...Im still planning on meeting my exercise goal for the week. Awesome recipes everyone. Gonna have to try them. My mother has the ninja, I think it's pretty cool. I have the Cuisinart Multi Functional Blender/Soupmaker. Great smoothies & a great soup cooker. I'd highly suggest that one to anyone looking for a high-end blender...don't get me wrong, ninja is awesome but the cooking…

Due to my work schedule I go about 4 times a week, maybe 5 if I can squeeze it in. Usually about 60 minutes of Cardio. If I have the time, on one of those days I will do a double workout, maxing out at 120 minutes. Minimum cardio is 45 minutes, and when I do strength training it's about 30 minutes, once a week....I do gym…

Hello everyone, Some of you already know me...to others here is some BG on me :-) I'm 23 years old and have been having a personal food fight for eight years now. I started off with disordered eating...mild restricting, indulging...just a bad relationship with food. It quickly turned into purging anorexia. I lost about 30…
