you totally reminded me of something that sounds really good right now--frozen grapes! haha. I like the idea of doing something fun and enjoyable just to relax and shake away the bad vibes. Thank you :flowerforyou:

great idea, thank you! i'll have to save this for later.. it's hitting the 100's today :grumble:

well i must also add that the cookies were of my mom's buying. if it were my house i would NOT have that kind of temptation surrounding me 24/7, but considering it is not my house and she eats all of the healthy food I buy and leaves the crap laying around, it's getting a bit frustrating. i wont be leaving my parents house…

Thank you! Yeah I love love love ballet.. I was actually on pre-pointe until my ankles got so messed up they swelled every night twice their normal size :grumble: But, I'm thinking about starting to go again, and maybe just have one-on-one appointments with an instructor. Since, yoga has been my best friend…

drink water inbetween bites.. i do that whenever i eat anything. sounds silly, but it works.

romaine, cucumber, raw mushrooms (i  mushrooms!), cold edamame (soy beans), chicken breast, hardboiled egg (i try eating less animal protien and more egg protien), and lowfat dressing.. i'm really picky.

yeah.. i lost 3" from my boobs before my tummy started to budge at all... my mom says i look skinny, but i think i just look like the fat-me minus boobs. I went from DD to a C now. :grumble: i've heard from a lot of people that the tummy is the hardest and last thing to get rid of. sorry i'm not much of a help!

yeah.. same here. its just been one of those days. so like loathsome, i'm doing an extra work out. just to feel like i'm not giving up for the day even tho i feel gross.

plentyoffish.com  we met online christmas night 2008, met in person new years day 2009 when i decided to drive down to his base (almost 100mi away), became inseparable, engaged in january, got pregnant & miscarried and then he deployed in May. currently he's in afghanistan and we're getting married/moving in…

i do the same thing, a friend and i were talking about that on our nightly walk last night

Yay! thats awesome :drinker: I so want to have my fiance put me through a USMC PT test when he gets home from deployment.. yanno just to see if I pass after working out for his entire deployment.

I can run after my dachshund when he has my exercise socks and I dont get winded :D and.. I have exercise socks, that get used!! (seriously.. I live in flip flops.. this is a biggie LOL)

ah! i'm so glad someone mentioned this! i'm having the same problem :/
-
I love me more than I love uncooked brownie batter... :blushing:
-
I got a phone call from my deployed Fiancee this morning so it's making me want to work out harder and longer today than I'd planned--so maybe I can afford to splurge a little more than planned today

Welcome to MFP! Its pretty awesome here and everyone's really really nice :D

I agree with BrenNew's suggestion of lots of water. What I'd do is eat slower than normal so I can listen to my body when it says "STOP HERE PLEASE!" before I got too full because buffet's can be overwhelming. Go for steamed veggies, white (or brown if they have it) steamed rice over fried rice, and drink tons of water.…

yeah.. i'm sticking to grilled chicken, salad, fruit salad, and corn.. otherwise it's temptation island!
-
yeahh shorts = still not my friend. and i'm uncomfortable not being able to wear a hoodie because of the heat.. although sometimes i say screw it and still do  otherwise i noticed i'm enjoying trying on all my old ballet leotards and bathing suits.. not that i wear them in public mind you
-
Happy 4th everyone :D

er.. post-deployment scares me.. when my man is home he's the junkfood KING. and i am so scrapped for time that i grab whatevers easiest and on base (the PX closest to his room sells mostly like hotpockets and cupanoodles..). so i'm already planning that when he comes home i'm bringing bananas, nuts, and all kinds of…

i dont know how right that website is. it just told me i need around 1970 calories to lose weight and over 2000 to maintain my weight. whereas that just sounds rediculous to me-- i'm 5'3", 20 years old, and 150lbs. :noway:
-
ditto to this!!! Memaw-- You looks fantastic, and I would have totally eaten the rice as a small "today sucks so i'll give in" token. so congrats on resisting temptation!

I confess that last night I wanted to exercise, but decided tv was a better option. I also confess that I had a huge piece of left over birthday cake instead of strawberries last night.. lol I confess that I'm going to have to go for a longer walk tonight to pay for that, AND start/finish a stupid assignment for an online…

instead of drinking things like coke, i've been opting for this "soda" that's called izzie. it's a fruit juice that's carbonated. although there is no caffiene (aaah i miss energy drinks :( ), it gives me my fix for something sweet and yummy without all of the calories and sugar and sodium. getting coca cola outta my diet…

ah! me too! i'm been a little lazy recently with my log. but i'm trying to stay motivated by reading more instead of watching tv.. as tv has become my source of "i'm bored, trashy shows on mtv and vh1 and a bowl of bbq flavored ruffles sounds good!" hahaha plus since it's hot out, and i've gotten lazier with walking during…

i just hit my 2lbs mark.. and i'm ecstatic. so I can totally understand the excitement over 10! I can't wait to hit that mark! for me i'm more worried about the inches i'm losing as opposed to the weight. congratulations!!!!

eh i work out pretty late sometimes just because that's the only time i CAN work out. i'm too busy or too tired to do it until later on in the night when i get my second wind. haha after i work out at night though i usually follow it up with yoga or stretching and some breathing exercises which help me if i'm too keyed up.

I was feeling really really down today myself.. I ate 2 tacos, which didn't really make me feel much better even though I thought it would... so I went for a walk with some good music and just finished up with some yoga and stretching. Its weird, but I feel so much better now. Maybe just some stretching or breathing…

thank you so much! I've had the last month to grieve, but its difficult to grieve when he's so far away and it's not something we feel we can talk about because where he is communication sucks and the conversations we do get to have are few and far between. So I'm trying to move along now getting myself into shape and…
