I think you can lose 25lbs of baby, placenta, water weight etc in the first month or so. My weight spiked up 4-6lbs right before I had each child. And painkillers such as advil make you retain water. I'd estimate you lost 18-28lbs of fat in 10 weeks. (15-25lbs of baby related weight). Breastfeeding alone would take 1lb off…

And make sure you get protein at every meal (try for 20g), and try to stick to lean and green (lean protein and greens (fruit and veg) to get the losses going past the 125lbs mark. It is easier to maintain than lose. I've been maintaining for 2+ years.

Not 5'4", but 5'2" and 112-115 is my range (varies with my cycle). I get one hour of exercise a day and eat about 1500-1600cals a day on average. Can you prep multiple meals in one go to fit in exercise a few times a week?

Yes, at first (two years ago) it was a range 118-120. Then I gained a couple pounds over that and was really unhappy. So I dropped it to 112-115. I feel awesome at the low end of that, so I am dropping it again to 108-112. I am more focussed on muscle definition, so once I fix a couple of trouble areas I'm good, regardless…

As soon as I could fit into the next size down without someone being able guess my religion (ha DH says that... more applicable to men). Burn the boats baby. No going back. Now I only own at goal clothing. within a 5 lb range. And I refuse to buy anything not at the at goal size. No going backwards. Nothing fits, stay out…

I am 5'2" and small framed, 41 years old. I lost 50lbs in a year. MFP and Skinny Rules/Bob Harper. Slow by your standards but the first 30lbs came off in about 4 months. The last 20lbs took another 8! I exercised daily for an hour, and ate 1200, 1200, 1450, 1200, 1200, 1200 and 1700 (one splurge meal a week). It took…

A real inspiration, not just the weight loss, but for believing in yourself.

lol at branflakes. And I agree with Yoovie, too. And I don't really care if someone can see I have striped undies on. Actually I am seeing a lot more styles that have see through/panty hose like sections (usually the back or tummy area) or hamstring or calf stripes. No my thing but they look kinda cool on people with the…

If you track your total calorie intake over the week including the binges and divide by 7 to get a normalized calorie intake for the day. You should probably be eating upward of 2000 to maintain. I am a 5'2" 41 year woman, with average body fat of 24-25%. I workout 4-6 days a week and eat about 1700 to maintain…

:-) Fellow Canadian. You probably pizzed it out from the beers.

You may also be overestimating your exercise calories (if this is a recent addition to your routine, you may only be discovering this now), MFP, fitness machines, FITBITs, Garmins, grossly overestimate calorie burn. Particularly if its low intensity. And they don't subtract the calories you would burn at rest anyway.

I log....after 18months at goal. Its 10mins a day. An annoying but necessary 10mins.
-
I don't consider 5 lbs a yo-yo. I gain 2-3lbs twice a month in water. I think if you maintain the same size clothing (fits well/tight always, perhaps a bit snug and then you pare back) that's a normal amount of fluctuation.
-
And I though intermittent fasting was 6:1 to maintain?

5"2" - Current weigh 117. Goal weight is 112-115. So a little up after a summer of fun (some of it is time of month water retention). I don't have a problem trimming up for a few weeks, after a bit of indulgence. Generally, I workout 1 hour a day to maintain. I eat 1700-1800 a day on average. Light days 1400, going out…

All this great advice aside, I lost interest in helping after your third post. You don't seem to want help. And if we are misreading you need to change your posting style. Lose the Shouty caps. But plenty of good people have wasted lots of time on helping you. *End Thread*.

I lost 6-7 sizes in a year. At 5'2 and 162lbs to 112lbs. Went from tight 14 to a 0. That's about a size every 8 weeks. And I would buy the next size down as soon as it fit decently. Tight pants are a great motivator to keep you honest at every meal. Goal outfits are fantastic motivation.

And don't buy anything processed. You'll have much better results if you eat what you make from the outside aisles of the grocery store. You can do it. I have a 60hour a week job, two small kids and a husband, and I travel and eat out for work. This used to be my excuse for staying fat, then I decided to carve out 1 hour a…

Personally, I don't see why losing one dress size in 10 weeks is an unrealistic goal. Its very doable. A size is about 5-15lbs (depending on height and how close you are to your ideal weight). I think you can do it. The plan that worked for me was Bob Harper's Skinny Rules combined with tracking on MFP. Ensure that you eat…

Agreed.

Its easy to say that we should be able to listen to our bodies, but most people who need to lose weight have had a problem with that area. I think its similar to telling an alcoholic that they should be able to drink a little and know when to stop. ...They tried that and it didn't work.
-
I think if you can do it if you use the scale and rely on clothing fit (get very fitted clothes and if your pants get tight, refuse to buy the next size up). Personally I still track.

I am 5'2" & (41 year old female) Highest Weight (pregnant) = 182 Highest non pregnant weight = 162 Lowest weight = 102 (22 years old) Current weight = 116

Not sure if I qualify as long term enough, it's been 16months since I hit goal (and have maintained a 5lbs range). I track, first and foremost. I bought a whole new wardrobe (and tossed all the old stuff) that fits tightly at my goal weight. I weigh daily and keep a 3lbs range 112-115 (I am 5'2"), . If I go over the 3lbs,…

Whatever you do, burn the boats my friend. No crossing that river again. I got a whole new wardrobe and form fitting at goal (everything is super tight 5lbs up from goal). Its my barometer now of when I need to dial up the exercise and better eating. Its a good maintenance strategy.

I see a gain if I drink more than a couple, but it goes away after a couple of days. Here my guess: your liver need the water to help process the alcohol.
-
Yes, I went from a 8.5 womens regular to 7.5 womens regular.
-
How much did you lose a week on average, and how much was your net cals? You can use MFP report function to check.

I have been maintaining 50lbs loss for a year now. I keep a weight range 112-115. I go over the range, I pair back until I get back to the bottom of that range. Really its a 1-1.5lbs range as it accounts for 1-2lbs hormonal fluctuations mid-month and PMS. I weigh daily. So in my view going by the day could work but might…
