1-2 pounds a week is realistic. You are weight loss is higher than that. I didn't try to look at your food diary. Are you getting enough protein? Jumping into too many changes at once can stress your body and make you tired.

My body hurts so bad that I am sitting in a reckoner trying to relax. I just read a magazine and am thinking about a hot shower to try to loosen things up.

Cant see your diary to help.

Cheating a little on my food diary this week using a five guys burger because I thought it would be most like homemade. Only day I had a fast food burger was yesterday the rest were home grilled. I realize that this weeks food diary looks bad and its not the norm because my company has a booth at a fair so my days are…

that pretty well says it though I also used food to cope but that falls into not caring about myself

I already need a lift so hope I can afford that and a tummy tuck when the weight is gone

Endorphins baby.

I know it is true for me. If I am tired I use food for energy to get through my day. Also, I don't exercise as well if at all when tired. Exercise helps relieve stress and I am a stress/emotional eater so the weight pours on.

Kashi go lean crunch with Greek yogurt and fruit. High calories but sets me up for the day

I don't know what 40's are supposed to look like. I am 44 and want to feel better and have more energy so cleaning up my diet and exercising. It seems like diet and exercise are the first line of defense against most medical problems.

When blood pressure is tested we are sitting down. Gettting light headed when standing sounds like blood pressure. The irritability can be blood sugar. Getting enough fat and protein to help stabilize carbs is important. Small frequent meals help me to feel better.

It is one day. Let it go. Progress not perfection. 1 day does not undo everything you have done. I don't know your calories, exercise etc but it could be a sign that you are being overly restrictive. It is normal for the scale yo show up when you eat heavy at night and it doesn't mean it will stay there. Today is a new…

Thanks for the post you look great. Your success, and others, helps to motivate me to keep going. Hopefully in 10 months I will be posting a similar picture.

Sadly surfing mfp while my hubby is watching Bill Engvall.

I understand completely! I have been at this 8 weeks and want to see some results and truth is I have they just arenthappening as quickly as I would like :(. This journey is definetly teaching me patience. You have to find what works for you. My mistake #1 Not taking a before picture. Mistake #2 Not taking measurements. I…

Are you suggesting wear a hrm during strength training and log it under cardiograph to see the true calories deficit?
-
What I don't understand is why I am not losing more when I don't (usually) log my daily activities like housework, gardening and MFP doesn't calculate calories burned strength training. I entered sedentary because that is what I was when I started but not now. If MFP figures calories needs on no activity then I should be…

I feel terrible. Mostly my upper body hurts. I am tired all the time and hungry. I have been doing 30min on elliptical followed with strength training alternating from upper body to lower body but working core daily. Rest day is Sunday. I have been doing this for 6 weeks with strong intensity. When I leave the gym I am…

Typical breakfast foods don't have enough protein. 2 scrambled eggs with salsa is a usual for me. Sometimes 2scrambled eggs with whole grain toast with peanut butter. I also have Greek yogurt or protein bar around 10 then lunch at 12.

I weigh everyday but only post weight loss when it has stayed steady for several days. Knowing my bodies natural fluctuations such as adding 5lbs before my period vs foods my body has trouble digesting is important to me. Once a week weighing could be more discouraging to me if it landed during my monthly fluid gain and…

I think there are trigger foods that must be abstained from and others that can be enjoyed in moderation and that is what makes this so difficult.

I had mine out when I was 20. It was one of the best things I have ever done. It was a little rude that little kids who had the same surgery were up running around eating and talking and I couldn't do either. So it was unpleasant but so were my tonsills. You can do this.

Please don't give up. I understand your frustration as I have been where you are and gave up and now have even more weight to remove. It seems like you made a lot of changes all at once. I wouldn't be able to do that. Baby steps only. This web site has been amazing for me for example realizing that I was not taking in…
