My month has been okay...I've managed to shift weight, run and am beginning to find my way with 5:2 Also, I hooked up with some friends and thats helping me to stick with it. My trouble that I'm down to my last 7 lb or so...and its like trying to shift concrete!!! I've signed up for a Fun Run on June 22nd, 30day squat…

Mmmm........I'm not sure what my goals should be for April. I've pretty much stayed stale-mate in March despite having upped my exercise. I'm a bit confused what my calorie intake should be. I tried 1500 and ended up having Carb binges, then I changed to 1750 and put on 1 lb... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! Naybelline - you suggested…

Thanks for the feedback. My MIL was just talking about the sugars in low-fat yogurt this morning too...some of them are quite scary! As a keen baker its hard not to test the cakes, but I'm trying my best. Lets see how I can manage from now on. Thanks again.

I'm STUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I managed to lose 2lb @ the beginning of the month but have been stuck ever since. I've changed my running schedule to be doing more each week but am confused about what my calorie intake should be now. One running website worked it out to be about 2170kcal but that seems far too much. I tried…

Naybelline you're an inspiration. Without you I'd have fallen off the wagon SO many times this year. Thanks to you and the 'Goal a Month' group I've lost over half what I need to and am on the home straight to goal. I feel great and I'm beginning to feel more confident too. This month I need to persevere with my running…

Managed 1.25 pounds off this week so at least I've lost I suppose. I'm feeling down now though because it means I have a whopping 2.75 lbs to shift next week if I'm to achieve my target for February. Somehow February is always a hard month I think. Its dark, miserable and I find I just crave comforting carbs. If I'm to get…

Hi girls, I know its a while since you posted this, but I seem to be having some success with my eating plans having lost 11 lbs since January with exclusive breastfeeding. If you add me as a friend you can take a look at my planners for ideas. I've been sticking to 1750 calories plus 500 for breastfeeding...and eating all…

6.5 lbs goal for Feb would take me down to 170 lb... a nice round figure I've GOT to stop sneaking nibbles @ naughty snacks and reduce the butter I take in my diet. Now that I'm a bit fitter I feel I should be able to exercise more frequently. Thanks for the support in this group and good luck to everyone for FEBRUARY…

I really like this idea. Well done you!!! I wish I could be as honest as some... I think I'll start weighing in x2 each week...Mon & Fri

Another pound lost this week which I'm very pleased with. However I need to step up a gear and create good goals for Feb to help the weight keep coming off. This group is really helping me to stay on-track. Can I make a suggestion though... I find that a Friday weigh-in means I go off focus over the weekend as I've lost…

Loving it... need to get back on track after baby no.2 Count me in!!!

Hello Mummies, I'm Julie and I have 2 gorgeous children. H will be 2 this month and J is 3 months old. I'm still b/feeding and so need to be careful what I eat. My main focus for January is to stop snacking between meals and give up milk & sugar in my tea...something I didn't do before being pregnant with J !!

Hi there, I've just found out I'm about 6 weeks pregnant but am 10 lbs overweight. I'm wondering if its safe to try to lose those extra pounds in the first trimester. I'm not planning on a crash diet, just eating sensibly with healthy snacks and fresh produce. With my 1st baby I gained far too much and I don't want to go…

Hey folks, Just add me!!!! I'm getting to grips with the whole Up/Down thing too and really enjoying it. I hope you guys do to. Julie

Great to have you back! Remember to keep in touch. We're all in it together.

I find that a great breakfast on DD is Oat-so-simple sachets of porridge. If you make the Golden Syrup one with water instead of milk it is only 132 kcal. Follow that with a salad for lunch and you've plenty kcal left over for a decent evening meal, especially if you don't want to miss out on family time at the tea table…

I'm here...just!!! Really struggling not to BLOW_OUT on Up days...I do so well on Down days, I've got a few low calories meals I can use and survive quite well. But when I get to Up day...........oh my goodness I just devour the kitchen, despite the fact I know its wrong! SO annoyed with myself. Any ideas or words of…

Me too! I'm doing 3 DOWN DAYS @ 500 cal Mon/Wed/Fri My UP DAYS are 1800 cal Tues/Thurs/Sat And I have a MID day on a Sunday at about 1200 cal... that way I can recover from a few glasses of wine on Saturday night!!! Please add me as a friend for support if you like......I don't have any friends yet

I like the idea of having a MID day during the week so it ends up 3 low-3norm-1 mid I'm gonna give that a go. Thanks!!

Hello fellow ADDieters, I'm a new recruit needing support and guidance. Started last week with a fruit fasting day...not the easiest so opted for up/down approach. I seem to be managing on 500 calories / 1800 calories OK but find that sleeping after a 500 day is quite hard. I'm finding it hard to switch off to sleep, but…

I usually have 2 weetabix with whole milk and a sliced banana. I find it keeps me full until lunchtime easily.

I've got no friends either, and evenings are my downfall too. Please add me also. We'll fight those bad evening binges together!!

I never knew ANY of this...thank you so much. Perhaps this is why I'm failing to stick to a decent healthy diet and end upcraving extra calories at bedtime. I've exclusively breastfed for 6 months now and recently joined MFP to get back ontrack with both diet and exercise. My calorie intake is set at 1220 but I also eat my…

Hey, Here in Scotland my family do it all the time and its a great way to save money and always have food in the house. My husband even butchers our own animals...on the kitchen table!! You do need a good repertoire of recipes so that you don't get bored of it though. For that I recommend the internet as there's so many…

I'm SO glad I'm not alone!! It's very hard to lose weight between your tummy button and your knees. Unfortunately there is no quick-fix solution :-(
