Hey all! Glad to hear about everyone's progress :) You keep me inspired! I've been completely silent lately, sorry! Academic life got on the way of my forum activity, but not of my lifting, thankfully :) I'm still keeping up with the workouts, yay! Don't think I ever kept my workout schedule for so long as this time :)…

Wow, Maya!! AWESOME job!!!! Congratulations! It's very inspiring!!! :D I love to come here to see what you girls are thinking about the next stages and seeing all the amazing progress! About the lifting shoes, whoever is considering it, seriously, just do it! It feels so different, so much easier to balance! You're all…

Hey all! Just checking in quickly to see how everyone is doing, and it is great as always! I'm laughing out loud here with Red's description of Stage 3. Looking forward to move on, but I still have one week of Stage 1 to go! @Sunshine, bad weeks happen and there's nothing wrong with taking it easy! Hope you have a relaxing…

Hey all! I've just added Stage 3 to Jefit and shared it with the ones who are in my friends list. If anyone else is interested, please send me a message here in MFP (I don't get the notifications in Jefit, I don't know why...). Some exercises I had to add as Kettlebells instead of Dumbells, and other exercises I had to add…

@twinmom, you're an inspiration!! @maya: ohhh don't leave NROL4W! Maybe at least try the stage 3 first? If it reeeally sucks, then you let us know ;) I'm still going for B6 tomorrow, and kinda afraid that stage 2 is too complicated, but I'll try it out first. What I'm really looking forward is for the chin ups!…

@Amy: routines shared :) @Terrie_f: so you're ahead of us all! I'll make stage 4 and share with everyone then :)
-
I agree! That's why we've been sharing the load and sharing the workouts :) In which stage are you? We have stages 1 and 2 set up already... Add me if you want, I'm also catdevrandom there :) Cheers!
-
Great, I'll add you! I tried to try the Bodyspace yesterday but couldn't do it. Just didn't have the patience to figure it out while trying to work out! In addition, it seemed to me way too focused on the social aspects of it, not on the routine itself...

Wohooo! Wonderful NSV! Congrats!!! My back fat is one of the things that I noticed going away the fastest. oh boy, I love to see the fat rolls slowly disappear. I'm thrilled!! Scale went up 1kg, by the way... but I don't care! Progress pics are looking good, I definitely see improvements, especially in my posture! :D Happy…

Ok! Just accepted the request and shared the routines :) Tonight I'll try out the Bodyspace app and see which one I like better :) Cheers!
-
Just to mention that I loved the question and the answers! I'm still half way through stage 1 and I'm thinking about adding the HIIT right away after reading the advice here... Mostly because I love running (even in the treadmill) and I'm missing it :) Cheers to all!

Just sent you a request :) The only thing is that I just realized that logging everything is messing with my head and decided to take a break... But up until now I have some 45 days that fit your requirements (1600kcal goal, minimum 100g protein), which you are welcome to look through! Hope that helps :)

Hey all! Congrats to all of you moving on to stage 2! I'm excited for you all and so proud! Yesterday I repeated A4, which was the workout that busted my knees last time. I was glad to see that I didn't lose any strength in the upper body. In lower body I lowered my weights on purpose to avoid injury again. Not sure if I…

Hey! I use the free Jefit and it is able to sync to the online version. I'm not completely in love with it though, as I feel the need to transfer my logs to the Google Docs spreadsheet afterwards. I'm thinking about giving Bodyspace a go, as some other ladies around here said it is better!
-
Oh, forgot to add: @alasin, welcome to the group! To answer to your question, my knees also crackles and I'm not happy with it at all. Last time I pushed too much in the step ups and that hurt me so that I had to stop lifting for over 2 weeks. I don't know if the injury and the noises are related, though... But I would…

Hey all! I'm back from my short vacation in Portugal. It was great to see my family, and that country is just amazing! I love it! The bad news is that I haven't lifted for a long time now, because of my knee problems and of the trip, except for just one day last week. This week I also haven't managed to go at all and…

Hey there, I'm using Jefit to take my routine to the gym, but I track my progress using a spreadsheet that you can find here: http://maggiewang.com/2008/05/20/new-rules-of-lifting-for-women-diet-calculator-and-workout-logs My profile in Jefit is http://www.jefit.com/2138768. Add me if you want to share the routines!

:D Seems like we totally hijacked your topic! Welcome back! ;)
-
Yup! I usually start with 10min in the treadmill at 7.5km/h (because I love running, even in the treadmill, and that's all the running I've been doing since starting the program), and then for the first set (either squat or dead lift) I do some body weight squats, then stretch, then pick up lighter weights, do some 12…

Hey all! I've just created the Jefit routine for Stage 2. If anyone wants it, add me as a friend there. This is my profile: http://www.jefit.com/2138768 Cheers!

Hello jazoo and skbarton, welcome! Glad to have more people on board :) Jazoo, if the bar you were using for the squats is this one (http://www.afproducts.com/site_images/uploads/Squat-Rack---show.jpg), with the thicker pins for the weight plates, then it is what they call the Olympic bar and it weights about 22kg. At…

Hello all! @mnsmov: My routine has been quite lazy, to be honest. I've been lifting two to three times a week (except for this break because of the knee). I found that I needed one extra day between the workouts more often than not... And I don't do cardio except for 10min warm up at the treadmill, at a 7.5km/h speed more…

Hey ladies! Although I was not active last week, I kept coming here to check how you're all doing! Progress is great as ever, nice! @twinmom, sorry about your hard week, and I hope you get better soon! @mnsmov, great workout, keep it up! And don't worry about that scale yet! My post might interest you ;) @redlipstickly,…

Everyone is doing such a great job here! I'm impressed! ;) Me, on the other hand... I had to slow down this week. After Sunday's workout, my left knee started bothering me A LOT. It's never been good, but I think I tried to do way too much with the step ups :( I decided to take the week off and then get back only next…

Yes, please! I'll send you a private message with my profile :)
-
@onlytati, Welcome! Hope you enjoy the program! All the ladies around here are really supportive and doing this together is much less daunting! To all: Did A4 yesterday afternoon. How wonderful it is to have the whole gym just for me! I love working out on Sundays! :D I lowered my squat weight this time, because I noticed…

@twinmom823: I was a bit suspicious about following the book to the letter, as it says something like 1900 on non-lifting days and I was scared that was too much! So I'm doing exactly like you, 1600-1700 on non-lifting days (about TDEE-15%) and 1850 on lifting days. Sometimes I'm not able to eat that much! I'm now thinking…

Well, it's been a few years so I might be remembering incorrectly (that is, I'm not sure I heard this from her or if I read it somewhere), but I think she did mention that starch gives "easier", faster energy that was not needed in the evening when I was going to sleep soon. To put this in context, you have to know that…
-
Hey! I'm there too! Though I've just started and I don't have the routines set up... But I'd love to share the burden of creating them! Send me your profile via PM? Cheers!

Hey! I'm trying to do the lifting on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday (avoiding Mondays because the gym is always packed!), and if the weather is nice I go out for a run on Saturday. But it has happened that I had to add one more recovery day after the lifting, so that tends to change a bit... So far I haven't felt the need to…
