  • Not sure if I will be able to get a work out in because I have a WW meeting tonight, but maybe we can go for a walk before the meeting. Or I'll take the girls outside and I can do some circuit out there. Keep up the momentum y'all!
  • I'm in! My eating has been crap...quantity is right but quality has not been. I need 2 workouts and all the extra water tomorrow. C'mon y'all we can do this!! Tomorrow will be a great and SKINNY day!!
  • I'm a day late but I'm in! My daughter's birthday is this weekend and I have 1 lb to go before I reach my mini-goal. I'd like to lose 2# by next Tuesday. We can do this!
  • I'm here late but knew Skinny Saturday was coming so I've worked hard today. C25K, 30 min of circuit training, and 64 oz water down. Y'all are doing great!!
  • Hi all! I lost 1.5 lbs from last week. I'm down to 170. Lost 6 lbs since the challenge started, so I'm right on track to lose 13 at the end of 8 weeks.
  • That's why he got it (besides him liking homemade ice cream); I can make granitas, sorbets, frozen yogurt and any frozen treat with it. It's a really nice one and very versatile. He even sent me a recipe book of 500 recipes for it and it has an entire section of healthy living recipes; and of course the sorbets and italian…
  • Getting to gym it up afterall! My husband sent me an ice cream maker for Mother's Day and I made some peanut butter cup ice cream this afternoon....for my daughter and her friend, of course! Maybe just 1 serving? I'm grossly under my calories...... ok, now I'm just trying to justify...no good.......
  • Not sure how I can manage a work out today but I'll certainly try! 64 oz water down and calories are good, but I'm babysitting today until 5. Then dinner and probably a walk and trip to the park with baby girl. Y'all are doing awesome on your water!
  • I'm in! I want to see 169 on the scale on Friday (I was 171 last week)! Will drink 7 bottles of water Shred in the AM Walk in the evening Stay away from my daughter's cookies (we usually don't keep them in the house anymore, but she was so cute and asked for some at the store...they're organic so that's something, right?)…

  • I agree! I was a 1200-er for a couple months and then hit a hard plateau and lost ZERO for 6 weeks. I sought the advice of a personal trainer who put me on an 1800 calorie diet...and I've lost 14 more pounds! Depriving myself for that long was not healthy. And yes I'm eating well now with 4-5 servings of fruits and veggies…

  • I tried to do it today. I wasn't quite winded but couldn't stop hacking while I was doing it and just about fell over a couple times. I think I need to quit the running until my lungs are back to normal. Maybe in a few more days...?
  • I would love to join too! I've gotten through week 6 and couldn't move past running 2.25 miles. I've had some health issues (bronchitis) and maybe starting over will help me get through it. I'll start tomorrow, but cautiously so.
  • I went to the doctor today...bronchitis. Yuck! Guess I'll have to take it easy for a few days.
  • Pretty good week for me. I lost 2.5 lbs and I think I'm finally over my plateau. WOOHOO
  • I don't think you're eating enough. I was on the 1200 cal diet for 2 months and then hit a 2 MONTH plateau. Turns out I needed to be eating at LEAST 1500 cals plus my exercise cals. Now I'm losing 2# a week. I'm a stay at home mom with a 3 yr old and would not consider my lifestyle as sedintary, but then again my daughter…
  • That is wonderful! And he's reaping the benefits of your lifestyle change too...awesome! Keep it up! BTW...you and I are the same weight...we will hit 160s soon...I just know it!!
  • Did pretty well. Kept my calories under 1500 (my minimum...my body is very sensitive to plateaus) and did about 10 minutes of circuit training. Was babysitting today and couldn't get to the gym. Hoping to go to the gym tomorrow. I added 2 cups of water to my normal intake. You all did so awesome today!
  • Good luck on your c25k on Friday! The program got me to running 2 miles at a time, but I'll be darned if I can't get past that. I think it's week 6 that moves to 2.25 miles running and I can't get to it. I know you can do it!
  • You look awesome!
  • I didn't get a positive until I was about 3 days late. Increased exercise has been linked to a lightening of the cycle. My husband was in basic training with a girl who had not had a period in 2 years. She was so athletic, a marathon runner, and because of that she never had a period. So changes in diet and exercise can…
  • Finishing up my first 16 oz of water now! I don't officially weigh until Friday (that's when I change my ticker), but as of right now, I'm down 1.5 lbs from last Friday! WOOHOO!! Gotta keep this momentum going. UCONN- you can do this...finish strong! Just keep your eye on the prize :)
  • Make sure for the ab work you're pulling your bellybutton into your back. That REALLY helps feel the burn. Those bicycle crunches are brutal when you focus on sucking your bellybutton in. Be careful with your ankle. Too much exercise can aggrevate it.
  • Sure did! 1 mile run followed by 20 min of circuit training with my trainer (was going to be a 1/2 hour but it made me physically ill to do anymore!) and then did a 2 3/4 mile walk with some friends and pushed a 40 lb load (stroller with 3 y/o daughter in it).
  • I'm in again! I'm crediting my plateau leap to Fab and these Skinny challenges. I've dropped 3 lbs in 2 weeks after only dropping 5 lbs in 6 wks before that. Bring on tomorrow...I'm feeling skinnier already!!!
  • Sugarfree gum helps me with my eating cravings. I hope you can find something to help!
  • You could use some freeweights and use them while sitting on a stability ball. Works your core and arms at the same time and is great circuit training.…
  • Should not read this when I'm so hungry. Can't wait to try!
  • Thanks for the link. I had a friend tell me this weekend that diet soda is basically water and is ok to drink (he learned this in his diabetes awareness/nutrition class). Will be sharing this link!
  • Great post! I just bought one this weekend and am completely lost on what to do with it...haha! The garlic and butter sounds good. :)
