A good investment would be a heart rate monitor (Polar F6 I've heard is good), and so far as shoes, go to a running shoe store (any legit athletic shoe store should be ok). They will watch/analyze your stride on a treadmill and match shoes to how you walk/run. I got some for just over $100 about 14 months ago and work out…

This might help... http://www.rungeorgia.com/calendar.html

I also, can't answer your question. But both of my parents graduated from UGA... GGOOO Dawgs! Sick em! Too bad I married a Rebels fan so I had to convert...

Lost a Bald Eagle... Would love to lose a bale of hay total. :) Thanks for sharing!

WTG Pam! It's great to see the scale move, isn't it? Wish mine would move faster too...

I hate when people ask those questions. My daughter and I went to lunch with the in-laws this week, and my MIL had my 3 y/o ask me for a baby brother or sister...umm...hello?! I lost a baby in February! And the MIL KNOWS this!! Because of the medication to end the tubal pregnancy, I can't get pregnant for AT LEAST 3 months…

So sorry you're going through all of this again. Hang in there, and take it out on the punching bag at the gym. **hugs**

Not the case for me and my husband. I DEFINITELY don't see him as a brother, but he is my best friend :smooched: . If you're a lover AND a friend with someone, you might as well call yourselves a couple.
-
I was wondering about that one! Thanks!!

I think it's possible, but not common for 100% platonic (and mutually so) friendships with those of the opposite sex. I had a couple really close guy friends in college, but after I got married they turned all weird on me. Now I'm just downright socially awkward with guys except my husband. Don't get me wrong, I'm friends…

Way to go that you've reached this point. Not of resisting the cheats but being repulsed by them.

I don't know if it's because today is April Fool's day or what, but people are acting crazy here today! And I like it, because it's giving me a good laugh!!

Unions bother me for many different reasons, none of which I will go into. Luckily, I'm in the South where unions are few and far between. Here, if you don't perform your job duties, you get fired...fair-and-square. Sorry about your frustration, that has to be annoying!

My hubby and I call it the Coin Slot, but I'm sure you have another name for it..... When someone wearing low cut pants bends over and you can see the top of the crack. Yuck!

When you said this, I thought about the hyenas in Lion King saying, "Cause man are they UUGGLEE!" haha!!

Happy April everyone! April is such an exciting month for us.... my birthday is this month  , but most importantly, my dear hubby comes home FOR GOOD this month! In 16 short days!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!

This made me LOL!!!

DON'T DO IT! Sorry, that was me being firm...and a bit of a drama queen... Anyway, what do you get from eating out? About 30 minutes of enjoying good-tasting but bad-for-you food? And how do you feel after you eat it? My guess is you feel worse than you did before you ate. As Brad Pitt says when he guest-starred on…

Pam- boo on the spatula....been there done that (only mine was a tupperware lid)....it smells gross!!! Hope you can clean it off the heating element ok so it doesn't smell every time. Pixie- welcome!

He is perfect, congratulations!

You look amazing....truly inspiring! Keep up the great work!

I give leftovers to the dog. And things he can't eat, I pour down the garbage disposal with dish soap. It's SO hard, I know! I'm still working on it too... Best thing to do is not have anything tempting in the house.

I'd like to join you ladies if you have room for one more. :) My husband and I have 1 daughter (3 y/o) named Georgia, and we are longing to grow our family. Sadly, we had the chance to do just that over Christmas break (he was on leave during a very long deployment), and it turned out the pregnancy was tubal. No doubt that…

Thanks for your support! It has been the hardest/worst 18 months of my life. But God made me so much stronger through this. Just ready for no more good byes.

Water always helps me tons. Last night I wanted a snack out of habit, but I had downed a bottle of water around snack time, and the thought of eating was gross to me.

I know it's hard to resist doing, but try not to weigh more than once a day, and even then, do so at the same time each day. Weight can fluctuate by a few pounds throughout the day. I don't know which to count though. I only change my weight journal one day a week.

Sorry to hear your treadmill broke, but the craigslist.com is definitely a good way to get a new one on a limited budget. Hope you find another one soon! :)

Great info, thanks for sharing!!

Weight watchers works with this kind of system. Not zig-zag exactly, but you get a certain number of points a day and then an extra X amount of points to use throughout the week or on one meal. As long as you're staying in the points for the week you're ok.

My husband has been in Iraq for 18 months. He comes home in 2 1/2 weeks, so needless to say, I am in BOOTCAMP mode! I lost about 35 lbs last year but have had some major health issues and gained most of it back in the process. Can't wait for him to be home for good, though!
