Hope Hopey is my nickname to close friends and family. And I get asked too often if Hope is my nickname or my real name... My dad named me Hope because I'm his last hope for the world. My mom named me Hope because she "hoped" I'd be her last (which I was).

I agree. I lost 20 lbs by eating about1200-1300 cals a day plus some of my exercise calories. All was well until I hit 182 in mid January. No matter what I did, I couldn't drop below, and I was running 2 miles a day about 4-5 days a week. So I sought the help of a professional sports doctor who told me that I need to be…

Not bad I guess! Hubby will be home in a few days and I'm only 3 lbs away from my first goal weight. I got a personal trainer,…

Hi ladies! Got back this weekend from my first ever mission trip. An amazing and life-changing experience to say the least. And I'm still recovering and trying to love on baby girl since I didn't see her for 6 days! Hubby comes home in 4 days. It will have been almost 5 months since I saw him last. Can't wait to be in his…

i wore my HRM for the first session and logged that under my cardiovascular exercises. Good luck with it!

Holy Moly Katie! 8 MILES without stopping?! You just showed that 8 miles who's boss!!!!! Awesome! You definitely deserve some cake after all that!

Do you sense the jealousy about the massage? What an awesome date/valentine's gift! Don't worry about blowing calories, I'm sure it was totally worth it!!

Trish I'm sorr you're so frustrated. I wish I knew what to tell you. Just stay with it, and one thing that helps me (and only helps now that I'm not doing the timed runs but maybe 2-3 days a week) is to cover up the stats on the TM (time, calories, distance) with my sweat towel so I just run until I can't anymore. It…

I ate a rice krispie treat that a friend brought over as a thank you for babysitting. It was so good! :blushing:

I have a 2 yr old who is just now coming out of being a picky eater, and I can definitely understand your frustration. The best advice I can give would be to keep introducing the same things. It took my daughter 3-4 dinners with broccoli on her plate for her to actually eat it, and now that's the first thing she'll eat!…

Trish don't worry, it gets easier. It took me three weeks to move past week 3 and same thing for week 4. And I've been on week 5 for 2 weeks now. It does get easier, just do what you can. I recently learned that listening to my music is detrimental because it does not go exactly my pace, and the breathing at a pace other…

Hi ladies! How's everyone doing? Snow anticipation day here in the deep south, so school was canceled and had to run errands with dd in tow. Trish- yay for Dave! I've heard great things about the PT. I hope he passes inspections and you enjoy your new ride! Melissa- great job on the loss! 10 lbs is a huge deal, you should…

12/31- 190 lbs 1/7- 187 lbs 1/21- 183 lbs 1/28- 182 lbs 2/4- 182 lbs 2/11- 182 lbs Still no loss. Whatever. I'm leaving it all up to God at this point; I can no more control my weight than I can control my 2 year old and am learning to accept it. I'm farther on my journey than I was; I am now running over a mile nonstop,…

sounds yummy! I'm adding it to my menu next time i shop!

Hey GoingTo! Don't worry about the pizza. We all fall off the wagon from time to time. Just hop back up and keep on trucking! It sounds like you'r making up for it today though. I'm having a rough few weeks. I've hovered at 182 for a few weeks now, and this morning it moved down to 181 but I'm not counting on it for…

Glad your kids date went well. And talk about will power! I would not have been able to eat only 1/2 my potatoes; they're way too good!
-
Thanks for your input on exercise cals. I have been going back and forth on how many to eat for a long time now. I think I'll try eating them all and seeing if that will make any difference in my loss. Where in GA are you? I'm in Middle GA (Warner Robins) and it is crazy windy today!
-
Nicole- good luck with your daughter's job-shadow today, that's so exciting! A chiro is a great doctor to be...there will always be people needing adjustments! And so glad to hear that you're back to running. Maybe we can run off ourselves out of our plateaus. What do you think? Trish- what is Zumba? A few people have…

GM ladies! I'm down a pound...it only took a month! I don't know what's going on, but I'm getting pretty disheartened. I've tried changing it up, altering my calories, and cannot seem to get below 182. Well, 181 now... I'm not going to make my first goal, and I lost 10 lbs in 1 month, but couldn't lose 8 in 6 weeks?…

Welcome gym_rat! you'll love this group! Sorry to hear about the deployment, but just keep busy and he'll be home before you know it. How long is he gone for? How are y'all doing on c25k? I'm supposedly on week 5, and can run 3/4 miles straight, but have been on this week for like 3 weeks now! I ran a total of 2.5 miles…

Girl toot away! That's fantastic!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's pregnancy. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. It's so great for her to have such a supportive friend like you who will step up and take care of her kids while she's going through this. The best thing you can do for her is just to be there. **hugs**

Good morning moms! Wow, we have some crud going around our families! Georgia has a cough but it's still moving so I'm hoping a steam tent will help move it along. I hope you all feel better soon. Remember that if it's above the neck you're ok to exercise. If the cold is in the chest, make sure to rest; it can cause…

I do fat free half and half and 2 packets of stevia; no artificial sweetener and is still tons healthier than artificial. If you want some flavor, folger's has flavored gourmet coffees that are awesome. hazelnut and vanilla are my favorites. I get the flavor, sweet, and cream all for about 50 cals!

Thanks for the encouragement! You're doing so great it sounds like! The meatloaf was pretty good! It was easy to make, and was yummy! If my 2-year old will eat it, it must be good (she's a picky eater!).

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I wouldn't worry about your weight too much; if you're already overweight you may not gain much at all. I was very overweight with my first and only gained 23 lbs. Just make sure to stay active, and that will help you with recovery and the weight loss after baby #2 arrives. Congrats…

y'all are doing great! I saw this too late in the day, but I am bound and determined to drink my 9 glasses today. I'm half way there! Oh and.....GO SAINTS!!!!!!

We live in an Air Force town, and my DH is a retired Army vet. He's currenlty a DOD contractor, so he can be gone for as long as he wants to/we need him to be. The money is good, he's in a safe place and we see him about every 4-5 months. Luckily I have a lot of support here from my family and church family. I know several…

I can empathize with you on this one. I found Edy's had a slow churned with 1/2 the fat and is low calorie. Sorry to be an enabler! I have a serving maybe 2x a week, and ALWAYS account for it before hand. Like when I plan my meals for the day in my journal, I'll say, 'I want ice cream tonight, so I'm going to take it easy…

Stacey- have fun at MIL's in Scottsdale. Hope you can make it 8 days without your computer...I know i can't! Trish- how do you stop listening? I can't seem to tune out the chocolate and sweets. Luckily I am the only one who has a say in what is bought at the store, so I just don't buy it anymore. But if it's here, I will…
