I track everything...good, bad, or ugly. Not tracking doesn't make it go away. That said, if logging the goodies is discouraging to you, don't do it. I personally NEED to know where I stand. It's just one day in the grand scheme. Don't sweat it and enjoy your holiday either way.

I've been eating clean for almost 6 months and have lost almost 50lbs (I know my profile says 44...had an increase before coming back down). Honestly I have found the change to be quite easy. I don't feel deprived and actually find a lot of what I used to eat to be unappealing now. I am working with the Employee Health and…

I was up .2 lb. I can live with that. Probably should have skipped the cheese and crackers and had only half a slice of apple pie instead of the whole slice. Back on track today and it should be gone tomorrow. I am more worried about Christmas. My mother has already handed out the food assignments. I was assigned sloppy…

Where to start... Eat a healthy breakfast every day. Plenty of water. Plan my meals. Weigh/measure my food. Eat fewer foods with preservatives. Lean protein/complex carbs (not refined sugars etc...) Avoid empty calories. If I am eating it, it should have nutritional value. Regular exercise...both cardio and strengthening.

I ended the day consuming just over 1300 calories. Did some Pilates to make up the overage. :)

Only up .25 lb. I can deal with that!

Same here...

Moderation and yes I will be logging.

I actually run at the small cemetery behind my house. You are right. I rarely see anybody else there except for a very nice older couple walking their dog, with whom I have now bonded :) A plus is also that there are some decent hills there as well.

A little bit of turkey, corn from my Aunt's farm, mashed sweet potatoes, and my one big indulgence...my Grandpa's homemade noodles.

Ditto the Danskin from Walmart. I've also gotten some good ones at Old Navy.

Part of a song written for my by my ex...sadly we tried to fix things but it didn't work and he's married to someone else now but I still carry this and another song he wrote for me in my wallet: I wish I could kiss you one last time And let you wipe that tear from my eye Hold me tight and tell me it will be alright. Why…

That's exactly why I weigh things. I am with you...I prefer "regular" cheese (European cheeses are the best!). I'd much rather have half an ounce of a good Irish cheddar than twice as much rubbery low fat cheese any day.

I have my final goal set but also aim for smaller 5-10lb mini-goals. I measure and weight everything! I also log every bite I put into my mouth, good, bad, or just plain ugly. Not logging doesn't make it not happen so you may has well be accountable. I have started cutting out prepackaged foods and preservatives from my…

I was almost 75 pounds overweight when I started running in the spring. At first I couldn't run more than maybe 15-20 seconds at a time. I now run in about 60 second intervals. I still have to alternate running and walking but I am getting stronger each time. As far as feeling embarrassed because of your weight, try not to…

Twice a day. First thing in the morning and again just before bed. I only record it once a week. Some may find this obsessive but it keeps me on track.

Run/walk 2.5 miles at 3.6mph...once the temps got above freezing and melted the black ice on the roads and sidewalks.

I love Iris and Everlong too...There are so many really good lyrics. It's like choosing a favorite child.

"I Will Catch You" ~ Royal Bliss Waiting out the storm Believing all the words they say. To fill your mind. Even though you were scared To leave all the ones you love So far behind. And they build you up Just to drag you down The longest road But I'm still here And I'm not giving up. I'll be there through it all I'll be…

That first time out there is hard and scary! As everyone else has said...stay safe! Meet in a public place and be cautious about letting them know where you live until you are sure they're ok. Also, follow your instinct. If something doesn't feel right, do not hesitate to end things. If something feels right, go for…

I have never done the online dating thing. I do agree with Anna to follow your gut. That is true no matter how you meet someone. Good luck!

I never skip a weigh in...no matter what. It is what it is. Not weighing in doesn't change the fact. That said, if it discourages you, don't do it.

Thank you. I am still a little apprehensive myself. Partly because of our history and partly because of my own insecurities. He did notice that I am almost 20lbs smaller than the last time he saw me, which made me feel good. As he said...we don't have to rush. We have all the time in the world.

Thanks. I finally talked to him last night. He called just before going to sleep. I can't wait to see him again. Just have to work around the kids but I'm good with that.
