  • I use a polar f4 with a chest strap (chest strap is suppose to be most accurate). I have also done p90x and your numbers are more than double mine. About 400 to 450 cals tops for a work and lower for some like the core one and the cardio one. Does your HRM have a chest strap? I am also 150lb female, so depending on your…
  • I love this and it is 344 cals, which works for me. Cook one peeled diced apple in 1/2 cup of water for a couple of minutes. Add a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice and 1/3 cups of rolled oats. Cook for a couple of minutes. You don't want it to start stinking to the pot, too dry. When cooked put it in your bowl and top it with…

  • Hi Polliesgirl, Sorry to hear you are struggling. I have crohn's, not colitis, but some of these suggestions might work for you. I had to have a pretty major surgery for crohn's a couple of years ago. I swore never again, so I paid really close attention to food and how it affected me. I ended up going vegan for 2 years,…
  • I guess I will just have to be patient, not a strength of mine!
  • Thanks for the support and advice everyone. I want to get stronger first, but losing 20lbs would be a great second. NDgal, yes lets support each other. I am doing the 1st work out shortly, so I have not yet logged it. I will wear my HRM and log what I burn, so I will just create my own exercise. Thanks all!
  • Your heartrate slows down when you sleep. You would not be burning calories anywhere near that rate for about 8 of those hours. Also hrm can be inaccurate, even with the chest strap, especially at low heart rates, like when you are just sitting.
  • I would add a piece of fruit and some almond butter on the toast, just to round it out.
  • HI, I'm a little late with my weigh in. I was at my mom's house for the last 5 days and didn't have a scale. I am at 149, from 149.6 last week.
  • Thanks for the support and info, everyone. I will will work on the intervals. Boy do I need some orthotics, though. My knees ache a bit today. I haven't made the time to get them, but I will now. Thanks again!
  • Thanks, stinker wasn't the word I used, though!

  • How about some chopped walnuts, sun flower seeds, or hemp seed. Hemp seed are complete on their so they will boost your oatmeal.
  • Thanks everyone, I appreciate the info. I am really considering both of them. The CE looks pretty heavy in the wrights and I am look for a good weights workout. I would say I am out of the beginner stage, but no where near expert. Thanks so much for the input. Oh, what is a beach body coach?
  • What a change, good for you! Were you on vacation or do you live somewhere beautiful?
  • gowear.com, it is an armband that you wear 24hrs, you take it off once a day to down load your stats. It measures calories burned, steps taken and actual hours of sleep. It doesn't have a readout, you have to down load to your computer to see what you burned. I am considering one.
  • I also "lost" 10lbs on the wii, but it was because I weighed myself on the carpet. You need a firm surface. If you weighed yourself in the same place both times, then I have no idea how that is possible! Maybe the wii is a little off?
  • Hi 2catowner, What is the ultimate tae bo like. I saw it at walmart and thought about getting, but I am undecided. I love the good sore, always makes me feel stronger. Thanks!
  • Hi everyone, I am down 1/2 pound. Ok for my 1st week.
  • Hi Everyone, I have been half a$$ed trying to lose 20lbs for the last year, literally. I just found this sight on monday so... Starting 150lbs Goal 128lbs I would like to be in the 130s by end of july and run 10k with out stopping by the end of june. Also, I am wearing size 10 jeans right now. I have 1 pair and they are…
  • Hi, check out the shocking your system thread. They are talking about calorie cycling, meaning not eating the same amount calories each day. It works, Jillian talked about it a couple seasons ago on biggest loser. So one day eat 1500, eat 1200 the next, then 1800 the next for example. I think it is just like activity. If…
  • I just started week 5 of slim in 6. It is challenging, don't get me wrong, but I have found it boring from the beginning. It is just not my kind of exercise. I find it too static with no energy to it, maybe I like to jump around more. The resistance band portion is only about 5 minutes of an hour. I bought it because a…
  • Thank you! Why didn't I think of that?
  • did you eat or drink too much water before your work out?
  • Hi all, I'm vegan so even dairy and eggs are out, which really limits eating out in most restaurant. Hemp seed are a complete protien with 11gr of it in 2 tbsp, at 160 calories, not to mention omega fatty acids. I put them in my cereal or as the protien in smooties, just blend them in. They took a little getting use to so…
  • see if they have a menu online with the nutritional info. if they don't, phone them and see if they will fax or will fax or email their menu to you and any nutritional info they have. That way you can plan ahead. Failing that, only eat 1/2 of what you order (get a take out container 1st thing), get you salad dressing on…
  • how long do you bake them for. I found boiling a pain, I didn't have pot's big enough. Do you add some water to the baking dish?
  • if you are looking for meal ideas, vegcooking.com has weekly meal plans, most meals looking pretty easy to make. Oh, I'm vegan too.
  • hi there, I agree with the ladies that mentioned food allergies. I have crohn's disease, but when I switch to vegan, all of my symptoms went away. I also have a friend with 2 children who never had an at home pregnancy test say positive, so that is possible. As for the high fat vegetarian products, I like yves jumbo veggie…
