  • Hi Tishaboo5, I've had to go vegan because of crohn's. I am symptom free eating vegan and have a really low tolerance of anything from an animal (and any processed foods). Interesting to hear of some one else with the same issue. Take care.
  • I have Crohn's, so I can relate. I had a massage that did wonders for my guts. She focused on my back, no tummy rubbing. Had to go be for I went home. Google something to do with yoga and intestines. There are some yoga moves that can help too. Feel better and pay serious attention to what you eat. I do much better on…
  • She should have identified herself as a member of the vegan police. We are not all like that. In fact, I do use honey, so maybe I am not vegan at all. Got to love a guy, who loves his bees...
  • Whole grains (in bread, or a bowl of brown rice, etc), beans, avocado. It's not just about the calories. I don't think you can get all the nutrition you need eating so few calories.
  • Tofu tacos using Soyganics extra firm tofu and an Old El Paso taco kit. I saute a diced onion, red pepper and jalapeno with the tofu and I add a little taco sauce when I add the water and seasoning pouch. Top with avocado with juice on it, fresh tomatoes, shredded lettuce and more taco sauce ( I am an addict).
  • The China Study (about food, a bit conspiracy theory-ish), Jennifer Crusie's (if you like a little bit of sexy in your books) Agnes and the Hitman, Welcome to Temptation, Getting Rid of Bradley. I like Carl Hiaasen books too.
  • Thanks. Always looking for a good vegan mac and cheese recipe.
  • Roasted chickpeas...
  • B12 deficiency?
  • Thanks for the input. Yes, core strength is key. I feel like my core is made of pudding. I had 2 major abdominal surgeries within 9 months, a couple of years ago. It is hitting me now, how much work I need to do and how much time I have been wasting when I thought I was working out. I am determined to climb those damn hard…
  • They are good if you buy the natural ones, with fiber and good oils. Roasted, salted or artificially flavored... not so good.
  • Potatoes have something called resistant starch. It's a good thing. Your body can not break it down and store it, it acts like dietary fibre.
  • if you have more stock you could strain out the noodles and good stuff and put it in fresh stock. If you made it totally from scratch... no idea, sorry. Hope you figure it out.
  • I have an F4 and it started reading a really high calorie burn (like double) when my battery started to die.
  • I thought HC was taken of the market awhile ago for causing kidney damage. If they are damaging, they will cause damage whether you take a little or a lot, I would think.
  • Nobody, huh?
  • For you delicious chili, why don't you enter it into a recipe calculator so you really know what you are eating. Maybe you can have more than you think especially with lean meat. You could do that for most of your family meals and control your calorie intake with portion size.

  • Energy and weight loss doesn't come from a pill, it comes from taking care of yourself. The fact that so many diet pills are taken off the market for causing serious health problem for the people who take them is enough to keep me away from them. They just scare me... even the "herbal" ones.
  • if the bulge is fat, the only way to make it smaller is to lose weight. A whole bunch of tricep exercises won't burn many calories to reduce your overall body fat, but you will have nice strong muscles
  • Hmmm, I'm not a doctor, but I don't think so. Maybe he lost the weight so quickly because of a hyper thyroid. If this were true all the biggest loser people, and gastric bypass/lap band surgery people would be at risk.
  • They might not want to give you the recipe, but maybe they would work out the nutritional info of a few of their dishes.
  • How do you change the ratio? In the food diary?
  • How late do you eat at night? If you are eating too much at night, you won't be hungry right away in the morning because you are still kind of full. Just a thought.
  • Some cheese substitutes, like veggie shreds still have casein in them, which comes from dairy. I am vegan and just had to go without because the replacements are highly processes and just don't taste like the real thing. I am sure there are good ones out there, but I haven't found one in small town Cananda.
  • Coconut water...but I am not sure about sugar content> Google it. :)
  • Cook peeled and diced apple with pumpkin pie spice in the water for a couple of minutes before you add the oats. When your oatmeal is cooked, I top it with 7 chopped walnut halves and 1 tbsp of real deal maple syrup, no aunt jamima. 344 cals and if I eat something else for breakfast, I miss it.
  • There's always spanx :ohwell:
  • Any water loss will be temporary if you eat to much salt and packaged food you will still retain water when you are done this "cleanse". Eating real food and drinking enough water would be more effective. You can't fix bad habits with a week of cranberry water. If you like the taste add some to you water because you enjoy…
