Next day lunch: Rice Tin of tuna (in water if you're being fussy) Leftover vegetables from dinner Salad veg Chop up everything that needs it and throw into Tupperware. I did this last week and was shocked at how big, easy, nutritious, filling and CHEAP it was. Tasted lovely too.

Got a 4-year old and an 18-month old. Both my husband and I love cycling. On weekends we plan a trip to somewhere child-friendly a nice distance away. One of us drives with the kids, the other cycles. Sometimes one does each way. It's a lovely way to fit in a proper ride without seeing the kids. I also do 30 day shred or…

That's a brilliant site! Thanks :)

May be worth exploring whether there is a market near you. We've a local veg market which is waaaaay cheaper than the supermarket and its all healthy. Quick stir fry with some Worcestershire sauce and whatever they have going... Yum and different every time!

Yup. Amazing book. The lamb hotpot was delicious and yes the paprika chicken is easy and yummy. Keep meaning to try the lasagne as my pasta and cheese hating husband says he thinks he'd like it. Strongly recommended!

Ok so it's not ideal but there are times when there's no point in self denial. I honestly believe easy on easy off. It's the same with easy off though :(

Try peeled cored apples, microwaved for ~2 minutes?

Hi. I may not be the best person to answer this as I love veggies but have been recently been having difficulties getting them into my toddler... Here goes what works for him: Roast fingers of sweet potato - drizzle with oil and bake for ~ 45 mins or until soft Crunchy veg (baby sweet corn, sugar snap peas, cucumber…

Massive learning curve for me too since joining. I never counted calories before and was shocked to learn red meat is EVIL while fish is nearly free! Will add you and look forwards to hearing about your discoveries :)

Just did day 6 level 1 and am also seeing pretty amazing results. Can't wait to see how I look at the end :)

I never eat before noon. It's something I've always preferred and now I've got the whole IF thing to hang it on. Leaves me much more time to sort the kids out and get ready. Plus I don't find I'm any hungrier and save ~400 cals. Win!

Hi. Add me? I've been here a little while but took a bit of a break to enjoy the holidays. :)

I'm in. Got a wedding in July and my v hot ex will be there. I'd like to strut in like a goddess rather than the frumpy mother of 2 I've become!!!

Up and down... But for me I guess it's what I see in the mirror. The scales not shifted for a while now but am seeing a change I like in my body

Hi there. Welcome! I'm nothing like an old timer but have found this place pretty handy. My best tip would be to pre-enter your meals so you KNOW what fits in your calorie limit and can spend and remainder on something impulsive. Best of luck :)

Hi. Similar boat - it's been months since the kids let me sleep a night through. Thing is I'm getting a buzz out of KNOWING I'm doing this for myself. My commute is one I can do by bike so I've a bit of activity built in every day but mostly I try to eat less crap! Sitting here knowing today I ate less than I used is a v…

For the first 2 trimesters eat your daily requirement. For the last up it by about 100 cal. My take is that the baby needs nutrition to grow. If it needs something and you don't provide it you've not done your job as a mother. Breast feeding is the best diet. You can lose the weight after the kid is born.

I have this issue. We only eat homemade food and add no salt due to littles in the house. After a bout of exercise I often find myself dealing with horrid leg/foot cramps and we've narrowed that down to lack of salt in our diet. Now try to eat a banana and add salt to my dinner when I remember on days when I've done an…

Bloody well done! I've got a ride in just over a month where I can decide halfway whether I want to do 100k or 100m. I have a funny feeling I'll be thinking of you whichever I decide to do. Amazed you did that distance on a mtb wearing trainers!!! Bet you'll be planning your next long ride within the fortnight ;)

For me cycling is fun and you can travel reasonable distances. Often if we're going somewhere ~20 miles away I'll cycle and my husband drives with the kids. Fits into life. Walking just isn't fast enough and doesn't *feel* like exercise.

I eat kiwis like peaches. Always have. I *like* contrasting textures in my food though. Just 1 texture is a little tame.

For me... Skipping meals. Exercise suppresses my appetite too. Somehow the less I eat the less I want. Making periods of the day when I don't eat somehow helps too - if I know I can't have it it makes it easier to put it down and walk away.

Just polished off a week of holidaying at home in the cotswolds. Had an amazing time and some glorious sun but I'll admit I'm glad to be back to work tomorrow!

Fascinating. Just watched it on iplayer too. Also impressed by the drop in body fat from 28 to 19% over the program. Concerned how exercise fits in and also how it's possible to keep it up if you no longer wish to lose weight. Definitely worthy of further research and possibly a trial if nothing looks bad. I'm from a…

I disagree. Just pick realistic comparisons. Then beat them. I can guarantee there are many people out there more unfit and fatter than you. Maybe you just aren't much of a runner. I personally hate it! If you're unwilling to quit on c25k then maybe do it at your own pace and beat the person you were last week every time…

I'm also puzzled by this. I did a bike ride today and MFP says I've used nearly 2000 calories?! I've eaten more than usual (around 150%) and feel completely stuffed. I can't imagine stuffing down 3400 calories in one day so either the exercise calories are too high, the recorded calories are too low, or eating back…

I'm 5'5 and my goal weight translates as 138lb. However that is my unrealistic goal weight which I've only briefly been at in my adult life. My realistic goal which I know I can do translates as 150lb. I'm broad-shouldered and rather athletic tho so I know my body fat is below 25% at that weight. Perhaps it's silly but I…

For me it's having no biscuits in the cupboard (and I don't mean because I'd eaten them all!). We always ate well, it was just all the extras I snuck on top which swelled me up.

Proper sympathy. On the other hand just because they're kids doesn't mean they're right. My 3-year old told another mother at pre-school that she had fat legs. The lady was completely normal sized. I was horrified but she took it in apparent good humour. I do hope her feelings weren't hurt as her legs were perfectly fine.…

You may have measured light last weigh in (maybe dehydrated or just empty), this time you could be full? I'd be tempted to say its down to measurement error. Weigh again and more often for a clearer picture?
