I go to Mc Donalds occasionally and I don't really do cheat days. I ALWAYS get the side salad with the low fat dressing and a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato and 1 pack of barbeque sauce. :)

Congratulations! You are doing great! 10 lbs by December 25 is absolutely attainable! Go for it!

Congratulations! That has got to be a GREAT feeling!

The lack of motivation might have to do with water retention and bloating. I get that a bit during that time. Just push yourself through it. As far as a mood booster. You can try St. Johns Wort. It is something you have to take faithfully all month long tho. Not just during your cycle. It takes about 6-8 weeks to regulate…

I think I am going to end up with lighter, shorter cycles. I have always been very regular but last month was a bit lighter and this month even more so. I have heard that can happen with regular exercise tho (the lighter shorter cycles). I do not think they are suppose to stop tho, not with diet change and exercise. :/ May…

Glad you are recovering well. We all have different events that brought us here. The important thing is that we are here now. This is a wonderful place to make fitness friends and get your healthy lifestyle in order. Welcome.

I am more Godsmack, Disturbed, All That Remains, Korn, In This Moment, Avenged Sevenfold, Seether, ect... but I am open for suggestions. lol

You came to the right place. This place is great for tracking food/activity! Welcome!

^ this ^ I did WW a while ago. Lost a bit of weight. Wasn't anything impressive. I gave up. I found MFP, I am losing better here than at WW. I have support 24/7 at my fingertips and I don't have to pay for it! :))) I have been way more dedicated here, this lifestyle change is a learning experience and MFP has all of the…

I was put on it in 2002 for post traumatic syndrome. For me it caused weight loss (although that may have been partially from what I was going through at the time) and it kicked my sex drive into over drive. My husband loved it. lol

40 here too! I think a lot of us are starting to pick ourselves up post children. :) My baby is 11... I should have did this years ago.

I go over 200-300 occasionally but most days I am under by about the same so it all evens out!

I am sure things can be cut down by using turkey bacon and fat free cheese. I think this recipe is worth playing around with and finding a healthier creation!

I agree... pepper spray! You know tho, my Great-Grams always told me that if I was ever grabbed by a man, "stick your thumbs in his eyes as hard as you can and knee em in the groin". Never did ask if she was speaking from experience but it sure sounded like it. It's worth a try if it comes to it! Above all else... BE…

I am a coffee drinker. I use to drink it from the time I got up (3am) until the time I went to bed (11pm). I still drink coffee but limit myself to a max of 2- 24 oz cups. Generally I end up with just one. This is good for me because I generally would do 10-12 of these 24 oz cups. Yes, I have a 42 cup peculator and I still…

Nice job! Congratulations!!!

Nobody is using anything remotely close to these? Any recommendations at all for low calorie cookbooks?

Late night/Early morning snacks DEMAND fresh fruits and veggies! Always keep plenty on hand and a wide variety! Apples dipped in Dannon light Greek yogurt is excellent for a sweet tooth! Deans fat free cottage cheese with pineapple, diced pears or peaches (in 100% fruit juice) is also GREAT to utilize! My refrigerator has…

I think sometimes people notice and just don't say anything. Almost like it would be calling you fat if they say "hey, you have lost a lot of weigh haven't you?" I think maybe it is more out of being polite and not bringing up my weight issue more than it is that they haven't noticed. :) I'm ok with that! Although, now…

I'm 5'2" and people really haven't noticed yet. I wear really baggy shirts tho. Other than my hubby, he noticed after about 10lbs because my boobs are the first thing to go apparently. :/

I have never even heard of that diet let alone tried it. Best of luck non the less. I hope it work for you if it what you want.

I have a Senior and a Freshman and my sixth grader brings home more homework than they do and she don't bring much home. The only time I have ever seen my highschoolers bring home much homework is when they are working on term papers. It is good tho because I agree... they are in school 8 hours a day. Why should they have…

I love my fitbit! The main reason is that my activity is up and down so I have MFP set at sedentary, my fitbit then compensates (adds to) my calorie bank as I use them. When I exercise I enter all that separately. I just feels like this give me a more accurate balance.

I wash my hair every day, workout or not. (My hair is down to my butt) I use Pantene shampoo and conditioner and I use Aveeno leave in conditioner on days I am going to use a straight iron which is generally about 4-5 days a week. My stylist doesn't even have to trim my ends every visit because my hair is in such good…

Dannon light and fit Greek yogurt has 7 g of sugar. That is what I use. It has 0 g fat, 80 calories and 12 g of protein. :)

Congratulations! My husband and I quit three and a half years ago. It seems like forever ago. Keep up the GREAT work!

That is wonderful! Exactly why I got a family membership at the YMCA. My kids couldn't go work out at the gym with me but they can go to the YMCA! My daughter gets on the treadmill right next to me and walks! The other day, we went walking/jogging in the rain! I am trying to instill healthy values on her that were never…

People not cleaning machines... ick NOBODY wants to put their hands all over something swimming in another persons sweat!

From what I am understanding from the article... Only 7-8 hours is the correct amount. Anything more or less increases your chances for diabetes. That is pretty restrictive. I would think that since everybody is different and out bodies act and react differently that each individual would be different. :/
