  • Anytime I go to the doctor and they look at me and say "I honestly don't know what's wrong with you, but it doesn't look good".......
  • Hard boil eggs and cut up some fruit at the beginning of the week. In the AM you can have an egg and fruit salad (could even add some yogurt!) Quick, easy, convenient.

  • My lunches are usually made up of a lot of finger food that I can eat on the run (I'm a camp director), so I like to bring things like hummus, carrots, celery and pb, a sammie, sometimes salad.. It's always great to change it up, and by having all sorts of smaller portions of things it makes me feel like I'm eating a ton,…
  • I make lists of EVERYTHING. It keeps me focused and motivated. Lists of goals, ideas and even healthy grocery lists. I leave them everywhere so I can see them no mater where I am. I also have post-it notes on the back of my bedroom door, one for each pound I want to lose. That keeps me motivated to want to take a sitcky…

  • I sweat a lot. Even if I'm not working that hard. So.. I guess for me, sweating hard is the way I know I'm working hard. If I'm drenched at the end of a workout, I know I pushed myself to my limit. And screw anyone who judges people for looking beat as hell after working out! I embrace my beet-red face and disgustingly…

  • I keep mine private because I don't see the need to share everything I eat with everyone else on the site. I know I eat healthy and I keep myself accountable for everything I eat, and I was sick of people nitpicking me for eating a half cup of ice cream if I wanted it.
  • I love hugs :flowerforyou:
  • Mine isn't a huge change.. I'd be 176.5lbs instead of 168.5. Still makes me cringe to think about.
  • You can get anthropic measurements taken by your doctor to determine your actual BMI.
  • Yes. YES YES YES YES. I think it's crazy not to.. An apple or a banana can have upwards of 100+ calories if you're eating a large piece of fruit.

  • It is a lot easier for people who are bigger to lose weight faster, because they have a lot more to lose. People who have 30 or less pounds to lose find it the hardest to get those last few off. Congrats on your journey and I wish you luck looking forward :)
  • You can absolutely still lift! Just make sure you take an anti-inflammatory and ice good when you finish!
  • I think it's kindof smart in a way.. But I also can see how it would be negative. Humans are creatures of habit and it's actually very natural for us to form set systems and follow similar routines. I think it would throw me off a little bit, at least at first.

  • Sleep is a vital part of healing muscles from workouts and resting your mind. You need to cycle through both REM and deep level sleep at least three times to feel rested (each sleep cycle takes approx. 2 hours to complete). If you're feeling run down you need to make time for sleep!
  • Hahaha, your post is kindof fantastic. However, just remember that everyone's body is different and everyone has to find their own way that works for them to lose weight and get healthy. 1200 is definitely not unreasonable for some, but for others it might be ludicrous. We all gotta do our own thing to achieve our goals :)
