I'm built the same way. I'm very busty and I could definitely wear a smaller sized shirt if it wasn't for my chest. Also, my thighs have always been a larger size than my hips, waist, or butt. My advice is to invest in some cute belts because you won't be able to make your thighs go away. Good luck!

This is awesome. As soon as I stopped making excuses, I started losing weight and haven't looked back. Congratulations to everyone though. These are all really great habits to break!

I feel the same way. I've been logging my food on MFP for 5 months. I have maybe 4 or 5 total days at 1200 calories, and those have all been by pure accident. I remember falling asleep early a couple of days and feeling sick to stomach on another occasion. My appetite has always been strong. I also have a friend who…

I think going to get a pedicure is a relaxing way to reward yourself. If you're short on cash, take a bubble bath, rent a movie, and lounge around the house all evening in a super soft robe.

Please read this. It has great information on setting reasonable calorie goals. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/8017-in-place-of-a-road-map I think setting your MFP to lose 2lbs/week is too aggressive. My advice is honestly to eat more (more healthy things, of course). You will feel less sluggish in the afternoon.…

I would start first by focusing mostly on the calorie goal. People will argue on what percentage of your calories should be protein, fat, and carbs. I find it difficult to always eat a specific ratio unless I eat the same foods every day. That works for some people, but I get really bored. I do not stress over carbs. I…

Yes, it's possible but I think it's more common with runners who train for very long distances. I've never had any toenail injuries. The most uncomfortable adjustment for me was thigh chafing. Once I lost a little more weight and bought fitted compression shorts, it seemed to prevent the chafing. If you're considering…

Read this! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 I'm responding to this because we're about the same age, SW, and GW. It's possible that you could have a thyroid issue, but honestly you also might not be eating enough. I rarely ever net 1200 calories a day. I think being a…

You look great! It's so nice to see your hard work is paying off.

I have a friend who receives an appetite suppressant from a weight loss doctor. He gradually weans her off of her dose, and she drops a lot of weight. Once she's off of it, she gains it all back and has repeated this cycle 3 times. I understand you want this to jump start your weight loss. Appetite suppressants are not…

You look smaller and leaner everywhere! Great job!

I'm 5'3 and I started at 196. I'd also like to maintain between 135-140 pounds. My current profile picture was taken at 169, so I'm about halfway to my goal! At first your diet is going to affect the scale more than exercising will. Ease yourself into the exercising. I promised myself I'd step out of my comfort zone and at…

I recommend HBO's documentary "The Weight of the Nation." It's on youtube. Weight loss surgery is the right option for some people but not for everyone. I feel like most people mistakenly think it's an "easy option" and judge people for choosing that route.

I remember my friend from high school directing my attention to a girl at prom. At school this girl always had curled hair and heavy makeup. My friend chuckled and said, "if you looked at her from the neck up, she looks exactly the same at prom as she does during the school day." She wore so much makeup everyday it was…

I could be reading too far into your post, but it sounded like you do the same routine every time you go to the gym. Try switching it up and adding more intensity to your exercises.

http://www.shockabsorberusa.com/ These are seriously the most supportive bras I've tried! They have a wide range of sizes. I was a G-cup when beginning this journey, and it was my shock absorber bra that convinced me that I could start running.

Fried two slices of bacon and an egg. Then I stacked them on a toasted lite english muffin. Screw Mcdonald's I make my own breakfast sandwiches!

You honestly look smaller than 224 right now. I think your most noticeable losses are from your face and stomach. We want to see your goal weight photos in a couple of months, so keep it up girl !

5'3 169 pounds and eating about 1600/day.

I've never been a runner or very athletic at all. This program has been fantastic for me. I'm on week 7 and jogging for a continuous 25 minutes. 1. I agree with the tips about starting slowly. I think having an overly fast pace makes you more prone to injuries and less likely to finish your current day. Start slowly and…

Welcome! This community is really supportive and people offer some great tips and ideas. You're already doing great by choosing to give up pop! One of the most enlightening things I've ever done was purchase a food scale. It's really opened my eyes to how much I should eat of certain foods. I'm sending you a friend request…

Will definitely try this! Thanks for sharing!

That's exactly why I try not to get on the scale every day. Normal fluctuations make me second guess silly stuff.

Ugh, I feel the same way you do . I'm skeptical of all the different numbers being thrown at me all the time. I try to eat more on the days I am very active and less on the days I hang out in sweatpants on the couch. I can't make myself trust the numbers.

Wow! Your waist is so much smaller! Keep up the good work.

Diet: Don't lie to yourself. "Oh, I really only had 1/2 cup of that ice cream." Fitness: Again, don't lie to yourself. "I really gave it my all this week during my workouts." Losing weight is a simple process, but that doesn't mean it's easy. Quit debating over your options and just choose the right one.

Try lean ground turkey 93/7 or 99% fat free. Turkey burgers can be really satisfying. Ground turkey is also great to use in spaghetti sauce over whole wheat pasta. Watch out for the sugar filled sauces. Try making your own or buying plain tomato sauce and seasoning it yourself. I've always been told that the perimeter of…

You look younger! I bet you feel great!

I wouldn't stress about it. Most people find it difficult to eat much right after they get their wisdom teeth out. A few days without exercise shouldn't be an issue. Mine were removed on a Friday morning. I attended a wedding and reception the very next day and started school back on Monday morning. I took ordinary tylenol…

As someone else mentioned, I spend about 10 minutes a day weighing food and logging it into MFP. It's worth it. I'm not sure how old your children are, but you can teach them a lot from it. It's a great opportunity to introduce the fundamentals of fractions and obviously answer questions about nutrition. Don't sweat if you…
