  • I BET! LMAO I love the fiber one cereal--the one with the flakes & clusters in the yellow gold box. Not tried any bars--most bars now have fractionated palm and palm kernel oils that are worse for you than the trans fat shortenings (ie hydrogenated oils) there were using before. I stick with plain ol grnola bars when I…
  • Thx for posting Angela--I discovered my library has a copy of this book, complete with the CD in the back so I picked it up so I don't have to wait to see the other 130 items it names! LOL I REALLY APPRECIATE your posting--i'd have never known about this resource otherwise! Zephyr :flowerforyou:
  • DOUBLE YIKES!! Good thing I don't care for Starbucks anyway. Will order a smoothie to be sociable in a group-but I don't do caffeine nor coffee and the two time I've tried some of the yummy looking treats, I was really disappointed-they look better than they taste! :drinker:
  • Interesting
  • I do the preplanning too, also entering it in mfp the evening before and packing it all up for work the next day--it really helps to stick to it! :flowerforyou:
  • Another interesting write up . Thx for sharing! Zephyr:flowerforyou:
  • Hi! Welcome and I hope this does it for you. I've found it very helpful! Zephyr
  • I'm sorry, clueless here, but what is EVOO?
  • gREAT POSTS! I did the same thing the long 4th weekend--had company over, did eating out etc and know what you mean. It has ALWAYS been hard for me to get with the program again after 'falling off the diet wagon' so to speak. I'm trying not to beat myself down so much this time as it was planned ahead. But still I did so…
  • Dentyne Polar Ice is my favorite and has been since it first came out about 10 yrs ago. :)

  • Interesting. I'll have to try this! I like asparagus and yesterday I picked up one of those grilling baskets for grilling veggies on your outdoor grill as I've had other veggies I love like that and it will allow me to buy fresh and cook them up so I'll KNOW what's on/in my food! Can't wait to try this--any tips on buying…
  • Interesting write up thanks for the info and the links to the previous ones as this is the first one I've seen. I've 'stepped away from' fake cheese (aka 'Cheese food products') for over 20 years now. Folks don't commonly realize the difference, so this info is super helpful I'm sure. To get full and real benefits, calcium…
  • Don't let it get you down--I went over on yesterday also, by about the same number of calories even. Just toss in an extra walk for the week to burn of those calories--I can spend 30 minutes mowing the yard and burn them off as well! :) You will note on the site when you add in exercise it gives you the additional calories…
  • Thx for the article nash! Interesting read. I am going out of my way now, and paying a little more if necessary to buy ONLY US!! You know poor Sam Walton is turning over in his grave the way his kids blew off his BUY US policy for cheap Chinese goods--they are ONLY concerned about how much $$ is in their pockets at the…
  • I too am at a computer/desk job and I totally agree with the folks who say high protein. It will get you off to a good start, help fill that calorie void, keep you feeling full longer, and keep your blood sugar more stable throughout the morning-no carb drag there. I like to have a couple of eggs or egg beaters scrambled…
  • WTG!!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • Great pics everyone! Lots of weight loss so I know I CAN DO IT TOO!! Thx for sharing!!
  • Don't have a clue. according to the site the ex was supposed to be to lose more so you would think the numbers would be lower there like they are for others posted. Maybe it's cuz I'm more overweight than they are and therefore the numbers are the same as it doesn't think I should safely go any lower?? Beats me! --Newbie…
  • I learned about this in a Curves class I took and it really makes sense. They taught that after about 3 days of the same calorie intake your body will try to compensate by lowering your BMR. So it sounds like this calorie cycling concept works using that principle as it appears they all have you doing 2 days then changing.…
  • Thx Xanthippe! :flowerforyou:
  • Thank you everyone! What a nice welcome. And neat at the number of Texans here too!. I too am enjoying how easy this site is to use--most of the foods are already in the system and this morning I figured out how to see daily tallies which include all the info I was looking for in a form I can even print out and it looks…
  • Interesting concept & the numbers I get using this seem about right. Thx for posting that. I've seen a lot of references to various concepts from the biggest loser. I've never watched the program. Is there a place online for the info etc from that? Thx! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter

  • By calorie cycling do you mean alternating your caloric intake every so often to optimize BMR and avoid plateaus?
  • Good advice, I'm just starting to get to where I can do that. Have always had trouble with feeling like if I 'blew it' it was a lost cause. Hard to get over, but I'm doing better! WE CAN DO THIS!! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Online Calorie Counter
  • I'm new too, but this site looks really great and I think it will be a big help! WE CAN DO THIS!!! I have a question CMS1130--is there somewhere to add that ticker to all your posts or do you have to use cut & paste to add it each time? Thx! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Online Calorie Counter
  • Thanks for posting this tidbit and the info! I'm new to the site and just getting started with my program, so I'll be sure to toss this in--it certainly can't hurt! LOL Thx!
