CONGRATS! Keep it up! :) Zephyr

I'm on the road most weekends too, so I know what you mean, however, lucky for me I seem to stay so involved with things I have going on that I don't eat much of anything compared to a normal day..not good probably, but does mean gains over the weekend aren't likely for me! lol

My goals today: 1) Enter all my foods 2) Attend dinner event this evening with friend, and order only the grilled fish with veggies, with water. Zephyr

I'm at 215 and my goal is 210 by Thanksgiving, so I think it's very doable for me if I stick with my current program/plan. Today it's raining so it's already screwed up my exercise routine. I had surgery in September and my doctor still says no exercise routine, but walking is okay. I have been walking part of the way into…

Thx Courtney! I'm looking forward to this to help me stay motivated through the holidays! YAY!! Zephyr

Okay, I paid, but this is my first time sending paypal to an email addy, so ignore my goof! LOL --I only use it for eBay.. I didn't realize it would do the thing at the end to add .46 if I'd entered only the $5, and I didn't catch it until after it went through, so mine is like a payment of $5.92..call it a blonde…

I think I am going to join you guys on this as well. We did something similar to this when I lived in TN...a bunch of us at work each put $5 in a pot and at the end of a set time the winner was the 'biggest loser'. We did 8 weeks...I like the idea of ending with the last one logging though as it will keep me motivated…

Just what I was looking for! Count me in! :) Zephyr

New to this thread, but I'm guessing you are all posting goals for just a single day? Right now my goal is pretty simple--I just need to log my food every day! LOL Zephyr

I'm in too. Whoever started this it's a great idea! I could use the extra motivation about now! And it is an easily doable goal!

I grow my own herbs and you can get the same effect by placing springs of fresh rosmary, stems and all, under the skin and baking or rotesserie cooking chicken. And yes, it adds a wondeful flavor! Of course, don't eat the skin to cut the fat, but you won't need to, the chicken will be juicy and moist and very flavorful…

Try meetup.com. We have bunches of walking, fitness and workout groups for houston on meetup. Good luck! Zephyr

I think I'd like to try this at some point, but I feel I need to drop a few more pounds to be able to safely participate. Any good sites/info sources for TOTAL beginners to the running scene? Thx! Zephyr

WTG!!!! Congrats!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

That's the way to think! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!.... WE ALL CAN!!! :drinker:

That is AWSOME! You sound like me--looking for ways to burn calories, and get exercise while having FUN!!! I belong to meetup.com and where I live there are LOTS of groups for our area on there and I'm now walking with a fun group, doing yoga and workouts with another and signed up last week for a Latin Salsa class. Also…

Thanks to everyone who posted. If you dont mind could someone list the nutritional info from a container of fage yogurt for me? Thx! Zephyr
-
Thanks for the information! I think I will try just as you suggest! Wouldn't have thought it would make a difference to go to a 'bike shop' but since I do specialty shops for other stuff it really makes perfect sense! THANKS A TON!!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: Zephyr

Welcome and GOOD LUCK! You're off to a super start!!! This site really helps me keep better track of what I'm eating--I didn't realize before how somet things were really adding up, like sodium and such. Now I want to lose weight, lower my sodium intake and get off my b/p meds!! :drinker:
-
I would just like to have a bike for starters, but I can't find anything that my large hiney is comfey on and that includes the oversize padded seats you can get to replace the original..whatever happened to the banana seat of my childhood? They were MUCH better as your rump didn't hang off the back end!!

I bet you can get them at a party store. I recently found out that the party store near me rents tables and chairs, so I'm betting that would be an excellent place to check. :) Good luck! :flowerforyou: Zephyr

Thanks Jennifer-this sounds more like it. I abhor Walmart, but will check to see if ours has this. Do you find it with the regular yogurt or isi it in the organic section (some stores I have seen separate coolers for the organics.) Thx again! Zephyr
-
My Understanding is it is higher in protein, which makes sense if the lady said her doctor recommended it because of her diabetes. I dont' think straining regular yogurt will truly give the same thing as there is no way straining would increase the protein content.

I agree, this works for me too..yardwork, cleaning, etc...:flowerforyou:
