I would highly recommend getting in 1/2cup of brown rice or 1/2 sweet potato for healthy carbs. Makes your meal even more balanced and filling :)

thanks guys! and @erickirb, that's awesome advice! i had no idea! thanks :D

I heard though that binging a lot of calories at once is bad! Especially if you decide to eat that one meal late at night, all at once. I'd like to know if anyone has tried the kind of budgeting I'm trying to do or a more effective way for them at around 1,200cals. Thanks for your help @HMonsterX :)

i'm also recently at 1,200cals a day! feel free to add and follow me :) i strive to be quite healthy! i like homemade soups as snacks and other high volume foods so that you get a lot for your cals! oatmeal or eggs for breakfast, salads and soups but with some bread so you don't feel too hungry :)
-
it could be due to salt.
-
in place of refined sugar. easier for the body to process :) desserts, yogurt, oatmeal, even coffee!
-
8 litres in one sitting is the lethal amout. i wouldn't worry too much :) aim for 1.5 - 2 litres a day!
-
i've been using one from the dollar store for years now! it's a really THICK headband so that's probably why it works so well. it has good grip.

there is no "do all, cure all" fruit. the key is to have a variety with different vitamins and minerals :)
-
i think so! :) i do like @GorillaNJ and eyeball them. i'm done with measuring foods haha!
-
yes, pack it, pesto takes A LOT of basil :)
-
some of us don't have them! i'm on here to tone up and eat well :)

It sounds accurate to me! I mean, there are good fats vs bad fats and refined sugars vs natural sugars for example. I know that the body has a lot of trouble processing refined sugars and they may end up stored as fat. I would believe it and it's a statement that would make me very happy :D

you're beautiful. you can do a lot better. we're all here for your support!

you look great! you look so fit! :)

SHAPE! inspires me every month,
-
you could try having a snack between breakfast and lunch (around 200 cals) and/or a small snack after dinner.
-
just a suggestion, maybe wherever you add sugar at home you could add natural sweeteners like agave syrup, maple syrup or honey that the body can better digest. so when you indulge, you can feel a bit better about it :) the only time i really have added sugar during my day is 2tsp in my morning coffee.

most veggies taste good cooked in a pan with a little olive oil and garlic :) btw, canned veggies are not great because they are stored in a lot of sodium, but frozen are good because the veggies are usually frozen at the peak where they hold all their nutrition. garlic can be used to saute things in a pan... you just chop…
-
homemade or low sodium soups! you can eat a lot of it usually and it doesn't rack up the cals too much :) even with a small slice of toast sprinkled with a lil cheese.
-
i had 2 large fishsticks the other week (about 270cals) and i had lots and lots of brocoli :) fill up on veggies and have some nice fruit for dessert!
-
yesssss completely!!!!
-
i follow mine too. i eat tons of spinach ;)
-
i think we all have to allow for some indulgence! my secret is, about a cup of any really good cooked whole wheat pasta then tons of veggies on it and a lil sprinkled pasmesan and some low fat cottage cheese on the side for protein and then a side of salad or more veggies :) keeps me full and satisfied!

I find a big difference in the day depends on what I eat for breakfast. As was previously stated, what you have for breakfast will be burned off during the day with normal activity. That's why it's better to have fats in the morning than at night. For example, sometimes I will have a yogurt and fruit for breakfast. This…

Thanks guys :) SuperSaiyan, I live in Canada hahahaha Trust me, I'd loooooooooove to live on a beach!

Nikki, the only problem is I indulged in McDonalds last night so I don't want to up the calorie count on 2 days!!! Thanks though :) I forgot to mention that part haha Katkat, I love this suggestion!!!! I'll freeze the rest. I usually put the rest in the fridge but that leads to unneccesary temptation.

i'm just shocked by those huge numbers! i think i'd have a huge sugar crash leaving the restaurant and wouldn't make it home :P
