Following this thread for new ideas!

I drink green tea because I like it and I figure it's better for me than a soft drink. It has caffeine in it so it might give you a metabolism boost, but I don't think that it has helped me in any significant way in my weight loss. I just like having a big variety of tea in my life!

I eat about 80%-90% of them because MFP generally inflates the calories burned. Also I've eaten my extra calories most days and I am still dropping weight no problem, so I must be doing something right!

I've heard too many scary stories for me to encourage anyone to do something like Lipotrim. Anything that involves meal or food replacement makes me sceptical. Food is fuel and it's also for enjoyment. Replacing it is illogical to me. Also maintaining the results you get from these things is extremely difficult too. Better…

I was using one before I started using MFP. I love it! I recently switched from the Fitbit One to the Flex, I personally massively prefer the Flex. I find it so useful for sleep tracking and checking my daily progress!

I've cut back on dairy recently. Just because I was way over-doing it on the dairy food (I can consume about 2 litres of milk in a day and I could also have cheese and yoghurt on top of that) and I've found that from cutting back, I feel less bloated than I used to. But that's just me, and like I said above, I was really…

I put whey protein in my food to repair the muscles after a particularly vigorous workout. I don't use shakes myself but I'm not against them. I use a brand called Pulsin', they just make pure whey protein without flavouring. So I can add it to anything!

I use a Fitbit Flex as my daily tracker. I recently changed from the One, which is also very good, the Flex just suits me better. I have a basic analogue HRM to measure my activities, but I would honestly recommend paying extra and getting a digital one that syncs with Bluetooth.

I'm mainly a PlayStation girl, although I do own an Xbox. I just finished Stick of Truth and my favourite games are Portal, Mass Effect (I still have to finish 3. Stuff keeps happening whenever I try to play that!), and Skyrim. I'm a Bosmer who favours the bow. I've also played every generation of Pokémon and will never…

As many have said before me, whole egg! Yolk is where all the good stuff lies! Also why buy eggs if you're just going to throw half of them away?

A long-time favourite is The Dog Days Are Over, Florence + The Machine. Also there's an anime on YouTube called RWBY, the music from that is generally awesome running music, and that entire soundtrack is like ear crack to me right now. So that too!

This thread has been great for me too! I need to put extra strength training into my routine. I'll be buying that book and checking out Nerd Fitness. One workout I'd recommend personally is Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones. It's on YouTube (channel Lionsgate BeFit), it's about an hour long and aside from the warm-up…

Use circuit training for you Jillian Michaels workouts and then look up the other ones under the cardio options. Eat back about 80% of your calories, because MFP can be a bit overly generous with the amount of calories burned. I learned this through wearing my HRM.

When I exercise first thing in the morning, I feel better for the rest of the day. I didn't exercise today and today I am a grumpy, stressed b word (I'm not sure if we're allowed to swear in the forums). Also a couple of weeks ago, I looked at myself in the mirror and the body I had wasn't the body I started with when I…

You seem to be doing everything well. Are you counting your calories as well as doing paleo? Because if you've plateaued, what some people recommend doing is upping your calories for a couple of days by about 200 and then dropping them back to your usual. I think it gives your metabolism a jumpstart again. Remember that…

Would that I could wear that! In my job we have to wear black or grey. So black/grey trousers, jumper or shirt and shoes.

This is the best advice I have ever seen.

My theory is right now I have a full-time job, night classes, assignments for night classes, and some kind of social life to maintain with all of that. I do plan on doing some more things once my life is less hectic right now, but while I'm busy I get in my quick morning workout, walk my dog once a day and reach my target…

One of the best things I ever bought was a Fitbit. (Or any other body monitor device) It tells you how many steps you've walked a day, connects to an app on your phone or tablet, and you can create daily goals on it. (10000 steps, 10 flights of stairs climbed, etc) It really works to keep me motivated and reach my goals.…

Are you able to swim? Swimming is a great way to get in cardio and keep things low-impact.

Great results! If you're looking for something new to try out Jillian's Ripped In 30 is a great follow up to the 30DS. Exact same format but 4 workouts instead of 3!

Just remember you're there for yourself and not other people! Also not all looks are judgmental. I (and many other people) have so much admiration for people who are trying to make their lives better by getting healthy and in shape. Isn't that the whole point of the gym?

I'm Irish, and our eating habits can be a bit stereotypical. We are very big on potatoes (which I am not a massive lover of), and alcohol is a big part of our culture, however I think we're not as bad as we're portrayed on TV. Generally we're very big on meat, vegetables and spuds (potatoes. I'm not sure if they're called…

It could also just be insufficient electrolytes. You can drink all the water you want and if you don't have the electrolytes to retain it (a healthy amount obviously), it will just pass through your body and not do it's work. Some people might recommend sport drinks but if you hate soft drinks like me, or just find them…

Hey! I'm 26, and always looking for more friends here. I log daily unless there's something hectic happening, so I need more friends to prevent me from forgetting to log

Well if what you have in the post above is your actual diet, you really need a change up. You're not going to get sufficient nutrients or calories with what you have above. Healthy eating doesn't have to be a 1000 calorie rabbit food plan. You can have really good, filling meals, if you just make some small changes. Like…

I did the 30DS last year. No pics I'm afraid, but I did have actual almost abs afterwards and (more impressive for me) my arms and thighs were tighter and toned. My arms and thighs generally look like jelly-filled water balloons so that is a really big deal for me!

Hey! My name is Amy and I have two superpowers (impressive, yes?), I can retain an insane amount of useless knowledge about movies, TV shows and books and my ability to find a pun is impressive to the point of annoyance. My things that I love are: Doctor Who (profile picture is a dead giveaway), LOTR, Star Wars (There are…

I'm in the same boat as you! So anyone who sees this, feel free to add me!
