I would and have asked random people to spot but only if they look like they have experience working out. And, I always ask if they know how to spot. If they try to spot and don't know how to properly do so, it could be very unsafe. ETA: Spot for squatting - you can ask them to stand behind you. That is what my trainer did…

I have no reservations asking to work in or if they're finished... I'd consider doing the same because people will never give up their technology unless they're forced to. KWIM? My time is valuable to me.

I love and hate spinning! It can be such an awesome workout. The great thing about it is you can set your own pace and still get a relatively good workout. You can adjust your resistance, how often you leave your seat, your interval pacing, etc. I'm not sure if your hip will like it not, but if it doesn't just get up and…

I'm curious to hear if anyone has done DDP strictly the physical aspect and not the diet and what kind of results its produced, what changes you feel or see in your body.

Curious what his reasoning was for not lifting heavy??? If you're new to lifting weights I can see starting lighter until you establish good form. But after form is established and you're comfortable with the form, the weights, etc. increase the lbs. I think it also depends on the look you're going for - toned or some…

No the walk/hike today. Your body is communicating with you and you should probably listen to what it is telling you... Besides, better to listen now than be in a cast for 12 weeks like the PP commented.

I've heard for women, butt, hips, and belly are the last places to lose. If you're not already, add some ab work to tighten and firm.

I think it is definitely possible to forgive but not forget. You'll have to be the one to let "it" go...

I would just say, "hey, how's it going. I'm NAME Would you be interested in meeting for a drink, smoothie, run, etc.???" Life is way too short to not have fun - don't doubt yourself and if he says no, don't take it personally. It likely has nothing to do with you.

LOL! That's hilarious - good for you for having fun and giving back to the community!

Just curious if you go to classes or do this at home? I'm getting ready to start Ashtanga yoga and am excited about it.

You look fantastic! Good for you!

Good for you on being a purple belt! When my schedule allows I like kickboxing. I'm not sure if it's a martial art or not but it's definitely a good workout!

We all have our days, so don't beat yourself up too much. Not trying to get into TMI, but I'd also check where you are in your cycle. I always eat way more at certain points in my cycles - it's hormones. I'd also check your water and protein intake - make sure you're getting enough. When I don't get enough of these I tend…

I'm 5'6 and 130lbs and I squat 3x12 195 lbs. To me this is heavy lifting (though I know I can go heavier). Heavy lifting builds muscle, increases stamina and does more than toning. With the right diet you'll have visible muscle definition. It usually means doing 8-12 reps per set lifting at 70-80% of your max (i.e., max…
