LOL! I have to agree...

I think it really depends on how many sets/reps you're doing with how much weight. When I started to lift heavy, I could see changes in my lower half in about four weeks. My butt was more round, my quads were a little more pronounced, etc. If you're using light weights with high reps you're likely to see minimal to no…

It's good you gave it a chance but yeah, next time just tell her you're excited to learn to use the squat rack. i can see why you "chickened" out (i.e., she's a trainer, she's "supposed" to "know" more, blah, blah, blah, etc.), but I wouldn't discount what you've learned thus far even if it is on the internet. Maybe go in…

Yep! Enell is the only way to go IMO. I'm a 32DD and everything is secure when necessary. They are pricey but well worth the money. Maybe check eBay and always hang to dry after washing.

There's no way I could workout on an empty stomach! I wouldn't have any energy to burn. You should at least have a protein drink or toast with peanut butter or something. My preferred time of day to w/o is AM because I usually have more energy. My sister prefers the later afternoon. I think you should w/o when you think…

I respectfully disagree. In three months I gained 4.5 lbs muscle and 1.5 lbs fat per my trainer's measurements. He said he wouldn't expect as much muscle and low fat but it is definitely possible. I do agree to get on the weight wagon! Don't be afraid to lift and lift heavy. It's a body transformation waiting to happen!

I think it's healthy and normal if it's not after every workout. It's a release of "toxins" or pent up emotions. I just let the tears flow and notice how and what you're feeling and thinking when you're done. You're not alone.

Depending on the ages of your kids, ask them to pack or at least partially pack their own food. My kids would love this!

I second this!

I understand your concern and can empathize. You might consider lifting weights to work your legs. If your thighs are "thick" than work to compliment them. Nothing wrong with having a set of muscular legs! KWIM?
-
Start lifting heavier weight (safely) and you'll see changes...

I haven't received advice yet, but I always have my headphones on. If the person looks credible and the advice is legit, it's always appreciated (sometimes I'd actually like clarification on certain things like form). If it's from someone that may be hitting on me I would take it as a compliment. If it's from someone who…

I'm sorry. I have no suggestions other than doing what you're doing. I think it's genetic pre-disposition. My girlfriend had "thunder thighs" and she had lipo - no more TT.

It can be intimidating if you haven't gone for a while, but once you get back into your routine your confidence will increase - start a routine and stick with it. You're not going to get your rockin' body back unless you go...

It's interesting what body type appeals to us, but for me this is ghastly thin and very unhealthy.

You might do a quick search for adrenal fatigue symptoms. I know this is a symptom of adrenal fatigue.

Oh, they are so lovely to consume! Sliced and baked in the oven with a little crisp - delicious!

You should clarify this: "...my trouble is a nice bottle of wine at night" If you're drinking an actual bottle of wine every night or multiple times per week, you might seek counseling as there are other issues not being addressed. If you are drinking a glass (or two at most) every night you need to determine what will…

I typically eat: protein drink, hard boiled egg, piece of fruit or protein drink and oatmeal, pre-make an english muffin, scrambled egg, piece of ham and re-heat in the AM.

If you want to feel stronger, I'd work on a rep range of 10-12 at most. If you're able to do 15-20 your weights are too light.
-
If you're in a gym ask one of the personal trainers to check your form. I'm sure they'd do it for free. You could also try front squats.
-
I also started back and front squatting (with weights) and I can't believe the round and firmness I can see...

You might try finding foods that satisfy your craving but are less in fat than calories like Jello pudding or a small handful of chocolate chips, fruit even canned, homemade low fat banana or pumpkin bread. For salt, pretzels, rice cakes - both salty and sweet, popcorn. I'll try to post more later as I know there are more…
