We just had a very similar thread with helpful info http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/comment/40428233#Comment_40428233 Start doing your burpees and grip strength workouts now (like burpees everyday, keep uping the intensity; lots of pull ups and if you cant do those, deadhangs), amp up your hill/running…

Wow!! Great job!! You've got this!

My long term goal is to be able to complete a Spartan race, clean. Meaning no failed obstacles. Shorter term is to be able to get my first Spartan Trifecta in 2018.

I had one really really bad night, then was fine after. No further issues no matter what I eat.

I 2nd all the training advice - learn to love hills and burpees - grip strength and lifting/pulling up your own body weight is crucial to being able to do many of the obstacles. Practice rope climbs and spear throws if you can (I fail those no matter how much I practice, whomp whomp). Monkey bars and rings are good…

It definitely sounds like you need to revisit your controller meds w/ your doctor. I have asthma (exercise induced, allergy induced, and just general) and I meet with my asthma/allergy doc every 6 months for a check up and to adjust my meds if needed. My original asthma doc a long time ago told me, before I started seeing…

Eat what you like, within your specific target goals, whether it be macros or straight calories. When I want ice cream, I fit it in. Sometimes I prioritize other food, sometimes I don't

Agree with the folks who said try a tailor, they should be able to do handle it. Otherwise places like JC Penney's has moderately decent, cheapish suiting you could probably get away with. Its obviously not tailor-made suiting, but it might work. Doesn't Jos.A.Banks have a ton of sales all the time? BOGO and such?

Not when you sweat buckets, then chafe against the wet material! Might ought to see a dermatologist just to rule out anything that needs a script.

What I'd do is trim the fat away from the raw meat as much as possible. Weigh it raw, with bones. Then subtract the bone weight (after cooking) from the total and use that figure (the raw selection in MFP). You could also remove the meat from the bones, raw, and use that figure. Then add the bones to the soup. Adding the…

Oh also, blue tooth headphones...no cords, no need to hold the phone.

I found some pants at athetica that had pockets deep enough for my phone. Otherwise I use a "spybelt" made for running. Its like a little fanny pack haha

Indeed. Like this week, my legs are so sore/tight from lifting, I run for a few minutes (10 or less) and give up because of the soreness. I feel like any obstacle just makes me give up. I seem to be constantly waiting on something (better weather so I can run outside rather than on a TM, until I'm not as sore, non-lifting…

I like numbers, so I weigh everyday and input that into excel (old fashioned I guess) and have a chart set up with a trend line. I can see that I weigh less mid-week than weekends, so its cool to see how my own personal trends work. I also have an average weight set up, so I can see that go down over time.

I've lost the same 30 or 35 pounds twice now and regained slowly over years both times. For me, reverting back to my natural, preferred state of being has resulted in gaining the weight back. Whether that's because life got in the way, just overall lack of concern, or just flat frustrated that this takes up so much mind…

I'll basically eat anything (including grasshopper tacos, at least a bite! and lamb brains we got at a French place...very tasty). I'm not sure I've had durian but I'm not sure I can handle the rotten dirty sock flavor/smell its supposed to have. I feel very lucky that I do like most things and don't have issues with…

I have an excel spreadsheet that I keep with my weekly deficient for just that purpose. "Banking" them for days where I know I'll be going out to eat or getting drinks or whatever...

Same thing here, except I'm only out in the cold to get to the gym. Eating so early in the morning upsets my stomach. I jog/walk for an hour at 5AM to be at work at 7:15 or so. Having to use the bathroom during the middle of that is annoying, so I wait to drink water as well. Then I get my Americano and actually eat…

I walk at 3 on the TM; jog at 4.4 for the time being. I just finished week 6, day 1 this morning. When I'm outside my pace is slightly faster overall, but with the cold bothering my lungs, TM or nothing for now. Unfortunately.

Food labels will have the serving size in grams. You can measure out that particular serving size in grams on your scale so you don't need the grams in the drop down (just enter a serving size). If you want say 1.5 servings, then do the math for the gram figure, and log 1.5 servings. You can also do it backwards - if you…

Does the Protein bar have erythritol? Its a sugar alcohol that commonly gives a "cooling" or tingling effect.

What I do is weigh the crock pot alone, empty, and make a note of that weight. Then before anything is dished out for a meal, I weigh the crock pot + total batch of the food you made. Then I subtract that weight minus the crock pot weight and that is the weight of the total meal. I then divide that weight by however many…

I second both Wendy's chili (put that on the baked potato, delicious!) and the Southwest Salad from McDonalds, with the grilled chicken plus all cheese, tortilla chips, and dressing, comes out to like 450 calories or so. And its delicious.

I sometimes attach it to my sports bra or tank top. As long as its within range, it doesn't matter where the watch is.

For whole foods you'll need to find the original, non user input food. Those have the option of inputting per 100g. If its a packaged food, measure out by the serving based one the amount of grams per serving per the package.

I 2nd the hundred pushup challenge. Google it. Its awesome! I was doing up to 80+ pushups (in sets) the last time I did it. I can still do about 20 and its been months. I need to pick it back up again!

Bump. Could probably use my homemade pad Thai sauce too. Tasty.

bumpity My husband made salmon the other day baked in a foil pack in the oven with some soy sauce and agave syrup. Very tasty.

I use a heart rate monitor and log it as its own exercise.
