I never had any surgeries but if the doctor said ,whatever you can do--- but I'd surely take it easy start out like the other guy said, by walking and then pick up the pace a little when you feel safe. Running is just part of my everyday agenda. I don't even let my body tell me its tired. If by chance I do feel tired I say, ok we will just go for 45 minutes and then usually I will do 1 hour. When I was working it was a great stress reliever to get home, change and go run!! Basil

I don't know whqat kind of working out you do but I do know that if you eat less and smarter and increase your cardio workout you will lose weight. You gain becasuse you eat too much!

Are you running or other cardio ? Weight lifting is supposed to speed up your metabolism, but if you are doing lifting in place of cardio, that might explain it!!

I think the word "diet" has kind of a negative conitation. I really look at is as a life changing experience. It is getting rid of the junk food and starting to eat right. If you get back into the 5:30 routine, you and your body will adjust with a week or so you will not feel any different than you did when vyou slept in. I bought Whey protein powder at Meijers. It comes in a coffee can type jug for $15. you mix it with anything you like I use skim milk . It gives you 38 grams with I scoop and 76 grams with 2 scoops.
