That is basically the Adtkins diet. I did that a few years ago and I lost weight. The problem with that and ALL diets is that when you go off of them the weight comes back on. Thats what is good here on MFP. You eventually adjust your normal eating together with excersize to start losing weight and keep it off !!

My thoughts are, listen to your mind. Evidentally it thinks you should keep up with what you have been doing. That will keep you from getting away from you good eating habits!! Basil

My feeling is " This is a lifetime commitment. Once we have our bodies where we want, then we go on a maintenence program, to make sure we stay where we want. The worse thing is to consider this a "diet ". All diets, once we go off of them has us going back to what we were !! Basil

HEY, You have lost 14 lbs !!! Nothing to sneeze at. You were given a beautiful face and it takes work AND TIME to get to where you want to be. You can quit and gain that 14 back and probably gain more. Or you can improve your program an get to where you want to be. There are plenty of positive people here that will help…

Do you use Advair for your asthma? That has really helped me. If you start doing more cardio and less lifting for 2 weeks, you will see how much better your clothes fit. That is the true test . Basil

The weight will come. You are losing weight, your clothes fir you better, be patient. Make sure you log ALL of your food, be carefull of the carbs. Get at least 90 gs of protien each day. Protien burns fat !! You are doing great !!! Basil I'd like to add you to my friend list

I wear a good ski mask, not a cheap loosly knit one, but a good ski mask! Works great for an hour run for me

Cardio is necessary for a healthy heart. You might alternate your lifting and cadio every other day or so!! Basil

Try a couple of 10k's if you can. When i ran my first 1/2 marathon they told me to just slow down my 10 K pace. Try running at your 5 k pace and slow down to see if you can extend to 10k

Sweet One, You are 19, it isn't the worse thing in the world, although it seems like it now. Sleeping pills isn't the answer, they are habit forming. Excersise is a great way to be able to sleep.
