Yes running is contagious. I ran all last week except Saturday. It was over 100 all week and I tried to run about 10:30am . I was tied up Saturday until 1:00 or so and too hot so I took off. I suddenly realized that I don't overeat but I was eating the junk food, so I realized I wanted to lose the weight more that I wanted the junk food. I started by writing everything I eat all day long and soon I wasn't craving any of it!!

I don't consider that I am on a diet! I consider it a life changing! I'm tracking everything i eat. I stay away from my downfall, " sweets ". I am very disciplined except when it comes to cookies, ice cream, etc. So I don't have them in my house! I live alone so it is easy for me!

Try Adtkins diet.com. If you but the book (paperback) It gets yo to start the 1st 2 weeks on 25 carbs or less for the 2 week introductory period. Youb have to do away with all bread, sugar fruit etc for 2 weeks, you can eat almost all the meat you want, eggs, cheese. they are high protien, almost no carbs! Basil

I agree that you should be looking beyond a 30 day shead. T o lose in a short time you have to have a cardio workout also. A regular brisk walk or a mild jog. If the doctor advised you to use them, then they must be right for you. The important thing is to get into an aerobic excersise NOW. I think it takes discipline to lose weight. A change of eating habits. Pills may help with weight loss, but to keep it off, it takes changing your eating habits and excersize!!

My dad died when he was 59, my mom when she was 70. Neither was overweight, but both smoked their whole life. I am 76 and really healthy. When i was in my mid 40's in a stressfull jo and applied for life insurance, I was not even rated because of my lifestyle.
