I use weekends for food prep for me. I'll cook something that I can heat/rewarm during the week and then whatever else the heck he wants to eat throughout the week. While he's having fried chicken and gravy, I opt for the meal I've already precooked/prepackaged for myself. OR I'll eat what he's eating and swap out extra…

I'm 5'9" and my ideal weight is 160 lbs. The smallest I've been in my adult life is about 180 lbs and another 20 lbs off of that would have been absolutely perfect for me.

Any time I'm sluggish like that it's usually that I need to eat more calories (sometimes just a 200 cal snack will do it) and/or I'm not drinking enough water.

Count me in! I'm new-ish around here (well, re-starting) and need new friends! Age: 31 Height: 5'9" SW: 266 CW: 263 GW: 160 I've been keeping my macros fairly balanced - 40% carb, 30% protein, 30% fat - combined with heavy lifting/20-30 minutes of cardio (elliptical or cycling) 5 days per week. If I get in the gym any more…

Way to go!!! You have come a long way! Keep on going! You can reach your goal.

I'm also cutting sugar from my diet. I've found that staying away from processed foods helps a lot. I was disgusted to find out how much unneccessary sugar is added in just about everything that's on the market. Fruits do have a lot of sugar, but I keep it to around 1 serving/day and eat mostly veggies instead. No fruit…

I was on Prozac for about 3 years and gained a ton of weight. I was advised by my doctor that antidepressants cause weight gain through stimulating your appetite. BUT he told me this only happens after being on them for long periods of time. As far as natural remedies for depression, I've read that decreasing sugar intake…

I would also vote for more protein. It helps to build muscle, which looks like what you're trying to do. Just wondering what's the theory behind increasing carb/protein intake in the first place? What's the current carb/protein/fat ratio in your diet? I'm certainly no expert, but I think it depends on what kind of carbs…
