There's no place in my version of the MMF app to set up the sync that I can find. I've synced it on their web site, gave it my MFP credentials and it said it sync'd, but nothing shows up on MFP.

I'd like some help with that, too. On the MapMyFitness web page, I see they are connected, and I have sync'd the two, but my walks and bike rides are not showing up in MFP.

I'm going to bet that nearly everyone here can say, "Yep!" At 52 and 209 myself, I know I can. Well, except for the hot flashes. But my wife had 'em, I know they aren't pleasant. Hang in there, we'll find something that works, and this program is helping me at least by helping me figure out what all I'm eating and…

11/1 - 5 miles on bike, avg 12.4 mph 5 down, only 95 to go! Next week, after the time change, I'll have to do most of it at night with my caving headlamp on, as it'll be dark when I get home.

Hey, I'm late to the game, but I'm in. I don't/can't run, but I do bike. Since I'm already a week and approx 25 miles behind you all, I won't feel too guilty about doing it all on the bike.

Yeah, I tend to listen to books on MP3, too, especially when I'm biking. But lately I've gone back to music. I listen to the classics: Yes, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Joe Walsh, etc., but I mix it with some current stuff like Porcupine Tree, Arcade Fire, Evanescence.

What Scott said. Drink only water. I never thought I could do that, but I made myself give up everything except for two cups of coffee in the morning with non-dairy creamer (no sugar). Now I love it, I only drink water at meals and between. These days, if I take a sip of Coke or something, I just about gag on the sugar. If…

I weigh once every two weeks. I like the suspense! (And hate any disappointments). My weight fluctuates too much from day to day, so it works better for me to weigh less often. The important thing is to be consistent. I only weigh myself in the mornings, straight out of the shower, after drying my hair, and before…

I see all three pictures. You're looking great, and inspiring!

I'll bet you lost a few pounds just getting all that off your chest! LOL I think you have a great attitude. Do what works for you, listen to your body, don't stress over it. Peace!

Dude, shut up! LOL I am also 5' 10" and was a skinny little rat when I weighed 160lbs. Now, at 211 lbs, I would kill to be 175 lbs again. That's where I'm aiming, with as flat a stomach as I can get. Sarah Grace, I'm not sure how much, if any, your weight figures into your flat stomach. I agree with Mrsschronce, find out…

Yep, you did, I'll give you that. Good luck!

There is no way I could stay under, or anywhere near, my target calorie intake if I drank anything besides water. With the exception of 2 cups of coffee in the morning with non-dairy creamere (no sugar), I've been water-only for about a year now. Sure, once in a blue moon I'll have unsweetened tea (never thought I could…

So, you're another SHAKE-oil salesman, eh? LOL No offense intended, but no thanks, I'm using MFP because it's free, I'm not here to make other people money.

These are great ideas and things to think about. Thanks! Sewele, do almonds have as many calories as peanuts? Peanuts are filling, but the cals add up. I would love an elliptical, I'm going to need something to replace the bike during the winter months. Now, if I could find one on the cheap... Eabrown, I've started using…

What kind of phone do you have? I use it on my Droid phone, it's a free app. Easy to use (thank goodness, or I'd never use it).
