Oh great, lol. I'm in the middle of my Recovery Week. I'm really hoping Month 2 is when/where I start to see serious results. I thought I'd see more by now, but I'm not following the nutrition guide (but I do eat VERY healthily). Guess we will see! : )

Would you happen to know anything about the calcium/magnesium relationship? I was checking out the supplements at Vitamin Shoppe not too long ago and one of the sales associates (possibly the manager on shift) lectured me for 45 minutes on how Americans consume too much calcium and not nearly enough magnesium (stating how…

I'm doing Insanity but do not have HRM. If you don't mind me asking, what type of results are you getting in terms of calories burned?

LOL! I just gave up my sugar-free french vanilla coffee creamer about 1.5 weeks ago. I LOVE the stuff and I drink large quantities of coffee; however, I know all those ingredients are not good for me. Since I don't feel satisfied with black coffee (and so far I'm refusing to use any other creamer), I just add a little…

I have two pairs of Vibrams and I absolutley LOVE them. But yes, you MUST start slowly. You calves need to adjust and yes, they will hurt. It takes a lot of patience (which I do NOT have a lot of, lol) but it'll be worth it!
It's so funny how when you start to exercise it seems like the worst thing ever- but before you know it when you can't do something you miss it soooo much! I feel ya.....congrats on finishing the entire extra hour!! :drinker:
So true! Sometimes I dread my workouts like crazy, but after about 5 minutes…

I think we could all benefit from some Insanity Support, lol! I'm in Week 4 of Month 1. I haven't missed a single workout (although, I've definitely wanted to!) The results that I'm noticing the most are muscle defniiniton in my legs. Not sure if I've lost weight (I don't weigh myself), but I also haven't been following…

Yesterday I walked for an additional hour. I wanted to stop at 45 min, 50 min, and 55 minutes, but I kept on pushing. I'm healing from a stress fracture, so I'm walking (instead of running). I never thought I'd miss running this much -- it's been about two months. I can't WAIT to run again!

Great tips! When I first starting running in public, I wore a hat/visor and sunglasses EVERY time, lol. And it really helped. Also, having a good route helps incredibly. If you can, try to drive along your potential running routes (around the time you would be running, if possible) and take note of roads that have less…

Tinabell, I highly recommend HIIT. It's challenging (which is good -- the only way you'll see results), but it's worth it! And it takes less time. Also, the saying "Abs are made in the kitchen" is VERY true. Eating clean, over time, will help reveal your abs.

Jb8, I liked how you said, "we get one body here on earth and i just want to take care of mine as best i can." That's a simple yet inspiring concept to keep in mind -- especially when I know that overindulging/bordem-eating/binge eating only harms my body (and my mind). Thanks for the Thinspiration! : )

It's as if we have to un-learn what we've been resorting to (eating just to eat/eating for comfort). I haven't found anything that works for me long-term... or even for more than a day or two = [ I've tried telling myself that I'll do 30 squats before I walk into the kitchen (when I get the urge) or I'll do some yoga, but…

I'm nearing the end of Month 1 of Insanity. The workouts are intense and sometimes I absolutley dread them, lol, but when I finally reach the cool down, I realize that it wasn't that bad afterall. After I complete my first set of 60 days, I hope to continue into my second, third, and fourth sets : )

Try to distract yourself -- get AWAY from the foods that tempt you! Go outside, if you can. Just do something! : )

I guess there's a lot more of us (and this issue) than I originally though! And it does feel like an eating disorder! It almost feels like self-sabotage -- if I make any sort of progress, I get these urges to eat (usually something crunchy and loaded with carbs). I've even tried reasoning with myself, asking why I want to…
