I've been doing IF for almost 2 months and recently started calorie cycling -- although, not as strict in terms of calculating everything -- and I've noticed that I've leaned-out a little more. It appears as though, as long as I keep my sodium low, I lose water weight the day after a high-calorie day. I haven't looked into…

Your progress is incredibly inspiring. Realistically, do you think similar gains -- meaning, obliterating the pancake butt -- are possible without a gym? Right now, I'm limited to at-home workouts with 40lb weights (max). Also, how soon did you begin to notice a fuller backside?
-
Yes, I am significantly leaner now and lifting a lot heavier. You're right, I could have always been this way... it is still odd though
-
So, I've stopped worrying about them... but now I'm just curious, lol. Why did I get them now and not when I was lifting/running/workingout like crazy years ago?

Thanks for the responses. I've gotten red marks on my shoulders in the past from calf raises... these are tiny dots all over my arms -- different from what I saw from the calf raises. An exercise induced allergy? I didn't know one existed, although I am not surprised. I've been working out for years and this has never…

I've read about switching up your greens due to the alkalizing affect (over time) of spinach... Basically, it's all about balance - which I suck at, lol

I gave up my coffee creamer back in April mainly because of all the unnecessary additives (and also because of the calories -- I drink a lot of coffee!) Sometimes I still miss it, but I'm an "all or nothing" type of person so I can't "treat" myself every once in a while. I fill my creamer-void by adding some type of stevia…

Years ago, I did it for 4 months straight. All it did was make my core rock hard -- under the fat.

Opposite problem -- even at low BF %, I still have a chubby face : ( Always have... and sadly, I probably always will. I think I need lipo in my face, lol

48hrs later, still a cripple, lol. Might try to do it again, despite the pain : )

hahahahaha : )

Did some fake jump rope yesterday (BECAUSE OF THIS THREAD)... calves hate me today. You should warn people.

lol (I am of no help, but thanks for the laugh.)

I've been drinking green smoothies for a couple months (almost every day) and about a month ago I watched "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead." Very interesting. I've never juiced, but as I mentioned, I make/drink green smoothies. Juicing and green smoothies offer an incredible bundle of nutrients. Definitely worth a try, possibly…

Thanks for the info! How important is it for you to eat your minimum calories? Just curious because I am also trying to build muscle and I know that getting enough protein (and calories, in general) is essential. How long have you been doing this and what kind of results have you seen? -- if you don't mind me asking.

Today is my first day (or technically, I started fasting last night). I'm doing 16/8 and am really excited. I have a few questions though: For those of you who claim to have a surprising amount of energy during fasted workouts, when do you work out? I've read that workingout towards the end of a fasting period increases…

I recently discovered that, after one day of rest, cardio is my best friend in terms of alleviating soreness. After an intense lower body workout, I was incredibly sore. I took one of day of rest (soreness actually increased on rest day ). The following day (legs still sore) I did a spin class and it practically eliminated…
-
...Being in a surplus of protein or overall calories?
-
If I'm slightly sore, and I've already given those muscle groups at least one day of rest, I'll still follow my schedule and work them out. Sometimes it even helps to alleviate the soreness.

For me, I need to continuously update what I use for motivation. One day it might be looking at pictures of how I use to look (and getting disgusted with myself). Another day it might be listening to music that makes me either want to run or lift heavy weights. Or sometimes it might be going out and buying a new pair of…

Lol, so true.

I have major trust issues with "calories burned." Yesterday I did sprints on the treadmill for 30 minutes. I worked my butt off. My HRM synched up with the treadmill and it STILL varied by a couple beats per minute. Additionally, despite the treadmill keeping track of my heart rate, it still showed that I burned 86…

Completed my first round of Insanity about three weeks ago... trying to build the motivation & determination to start round 2 : ) Reading about everyone's progress, results, and overall excitement is very encouraging!

SO MANY reasons! Definitely the confidence I feel, knowing that I'm strong and sexy

Such GREAT advice! Thanks for sharing : )
