I have some trails near me that are decent...I am just starting out on the couch to 5k and am thinking of taking it outside with my dog...but so far have only walked them. There is the Windham rail trail that is actually paved.....and then at lake massabesic in Manchester there is a bike trail that was the old rail trail…

omg...must admit..I tried these on a whim "knowing" I wouldnt like them... Holy cow...what a pleasant surprise! Very light and airy...but enough crinkling cracking crunching to totally curb a craving for chips!! I grab a big salad and fruit plate, and also a plate with the peel and eat cold shrimp...it takes me time to peel them while others are downing the fryfest....so by the time they are going up again...I have had time to get past the initial urge to grab everything!

I made some more of the smoothies and lost one to my 12 year old son...guess that passes the taste test...lol. Had to set the smoothie rule...you can eat them...but don't ever take my last one...lol Now I have the chocolate banana oatmeal made for breakfast ...can't wait!!! The powdered peanut butter is already on my list…

lately I have been making my own tortilla chips to have with salsa....just a corn tortilla sliced up..little bit of pam and let them crisp up....more chips for less calories...and I don't add the extra sodium from bag ones...saves money too...and no bag for the kids to leave open and find them stale later! :)

To me...food and exercise go hand in hand...maybe try not hitting the issue head on...let him find his way there on his own..
