Feel free to add me. I'm looking to lose 80-100. Depends where in there I feel the most healthy. :)

Feel free to add me. I'm on here everyday. :) I have about 80-100 lbs total that I'm looking to lose. Started doing Insanity last week and am on my 6th day of it today!

Feel free to add me. 2 weeks in and lost 6.4lbs. Going from 230 to around 130-150. :)

I was in the process of pledging Tri Sig in Eau Claire, WI at UWEC, but I had to stop going to school for finanacial reasons. :( I miss those girls though! I have some of them on my FB at least.

What kinds of at home things can you do for weights? I support a family on my income alone so I'm on a bit of a budget. No money for gyms or to go out and buy a weight set.

I'm in too. And I love the idea of sharing what we're all doing to give others ideas as well!

I am, but I too already have the pleasure of being your friend. I need to find someone in my life I can call or text when I want to give into temptation still though. Grocery shopping is the hardest thing some days!

The overwhelming response I got from this post is amazing! Thank you everyone!

My heaviest was about 265. Last summer I got down to almost under 200 (about 205) and then I got into a new relationship. I went back up to 230 and have maintained that weight since last fall. I also don't have any health risks (yet) with my weight, but I'm sick of being the "fat girl" amongst my friends. It's time for me…

You're gorgeous! Way to go!

Feel free to add me. I'm looking to lose at least 80 lbs, but aht includes whatever comes off in my breast reduction. I can't wait to have it done! It's scheduled, but the day just needs to get here!

I have 5lb and 8lb dumb bells at home. I too could use some exercises that will help my arms. Anyone know of any to help that I could do at home?

Jillian Michaels Master your Metabolism is another great book about balancing hormones. I'm on my 2nd time reading it. I highly recommend it to everyone!

I too quit cold turkey. Addictions are more mental than anything. It's mind over matter. Everytime you get the urge to smoke, do something else you enjoy instead. When I go to the bar, now instead of going to smoke with everyone, I use that time to pick music on the jukebox instead. Keeps my mind focused on something else.…

I'm game. I'm 5'4 and a little bit (at least that's what my doctor said at my last check up since I'm not quite 5'5) and I weighed in this week at 226.6 lbs. Any extra tips, motivation, encouragement or advice would be great and welcome!

Thanks! I've never heard about those before. :)

Thank you. This is very helpful. I understand that it isn't a tremendous amount of calories burned. And it's not like it's the only exercise I do or I'm taking the easy way out, but why not get credit for the 8 hour shift I put in at work when I'm bouncing for 6 of them? Believe me, if I had the option to get up and do…

I live in the Eau Claire area and have for most of my life...

Count me in as well! I'm starting the C25K next week as well. I'll make a goal for 50 miles. Good luck everyone!

Feel free to add me. A little extra motivation goes a long way. I've only been on here since Tuesday and have found this site to be what I need to get myself in gear!

Thank you. That helps immensely! I'm planning on getting a stability ball after work. I gave mine to my old roommate because at the time I didn't use it and was still working in surgical services. Now I want it back for my office chair! :)

I've been reading Master Your Metabolism (for a 2nd time), and I honestly can say what Jillian says in that book is very true. Last spring was the first time I read this book. It's all about how different faux foods (processed foods) can affect your hormones. Some of the preservatives or chemicals found in foods get our…

What meal planner do you use?

Pilates and Yoga I have found help me. I had to go to physical therapy for a month because of a shoulder/neck spasm. The cause was an unstable lower back which was caused by large breasts and week ab muscles. When I started doing Pilates and Yoga (which is what my physical therapist had me doing), I could really tell a…

This goes right along with the book I've been reading (for the 2nd time), Master Your Metabolism by Jillian Michaels. I try to steer away from processed foods as much as possible with any meal or snack. Sometimes I struggle though since I'm not the only person I cook for anymore (so it gets expensive) and sometimes (for…

I am completely for keeping this thread going for the long term. It's a good way for us to share ideas and strategies as we come across them. I read a lot of nutrition books and come across little tidbits all the time. I'll share as I learn new things. :)

This is a great website for sure! Thank you for supplying it!

Can you send me some more information on this cycle? Sounds like it could be a great tool!

These are some great suggestions! Thanks everyone! I have definitely gotten better about drinking water since switching positions. So that's a plus! I used to be on Spark People and found it just wasn't for me. I get discouraged a lot when trying to lose weight and become healthy so when I don't get encouragement or…

Feel free to add me if you'd like. I just joined MFP yesterday. I am 5'4, 230 lbs and looking to lose 100 lbs! It would be great to have more support and encouragement and be able to lend a hand where I can as well!
