  • I apologize if I over reacted. I just stopped using these forums months ago because of all the jerks who would rather put me down then give me solid advice. Although your advice is good, I already know this and do eat at a deficit. I'm wondering about exercises though not nutrition. I am starting over and am looking for…
  • Considering you don't know my eating habits, there's not need to be a ****. I eat a pretty well balanced diet as if that was the topic here at all to begin with.
  • Even in the morning it is possible people are coming from work. Some people work overnights and go to the gym after work still.
  • I just recently started back at the gym and I have a routine I follow every time. I start with about 20-25 min on the elliptical to warm up. From there I start my weight lifting. Depending on the day I do upper body and core or lower body and core. I do 3 sets of 10 on each. Upper Body Day (all machines): Back Extension…
  • Thanks everyone. Unfortunately, I ended up having to take 2 months off exercise after my surgery (a few unexpected complications that are better now) so I feel like all my hard work beforehand is out the window. :( I am slowly getting back into exercise, but it sucks feeling like you're starting over!
  • If you've always been a rather busty girl than chances are you're not going to see much of a loss in your chest. Most women (I know not all which is why I say most) usually lose in their breasts first because they bounce more while working out. I just had a reduction (an F to a C). My surgeon said that my breasts were very…
  • Most businesses have pantyhose right in their dress code. So I would err on the side of caution and wear them to the interview then when you get hired, review their dress code.
  • Some of my favorites are: Hip Hop Abs (Beach Body) Insanity (talk about cardio!!!) Supreme 90 (but weights are involved) Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred Zumba (shows how incredibly uncoordinated I am) Those are a few that I have used and will use again once I'm 100% post surgery.
  • Heck yah, I'd buy one. As for price....it really depends on how much it cost you for the supplies first off. I'd probably pay $10-$20 (but I'm usually broke so not a good reference for that haha), but again you have to charge so you're making some sort of a profit.
  • Genetics does have a role in it. I am actually having a breast reduction on Thursday and my mom is having it done the following week. We have the same plastic surgeon and she says our breast tissue is gladular so even with weight loss they may get a little smaller (although I still don't consider DDD to be small), but all…
  • I've found a few roommates off Craigslist. In fact, some of my favorite roommates are from there. My recommendations: 1) Don't add them to the lease (this way if it doesn't work out, you don't have to go through the eviction process) 2) Write up an agreement between you and said roommate of rules, rates and consequences if…
  • 1 cup fat free cottage cheese (about 160 cal)/ I use the Simply Kraft fat free cottage cheese 5 large strawberries sliced (about 29 cal) I love having this for breakfast. I never thought fruit and cottage cheese sounded good together before, but my boyfriend made it for me at his parents one weekend and now I crave it!…
  • So I'm thinking I'm going to start back as a vegetarian and try to lean towards vegan. My boyfriend (a meat eater and chef) is concerned about his culinary abilities to cater to a vegan. He told me last night that he will support whatever I choose (as long as it's healthy of course), but as I said, he's worried about being…
  • Thank you so much!!! That is incredibly helpful. I know I don't get enough protein based on what MFP tells me to eat, but I don't feel like I'm losing out either. I will definitely look into all of the sources everyone has offered up. I'm having surgery next week and will need more reading material! :) I also need to bulk…
  • Thank you everyone for being so helpful and supportive. I'm not used to having a post without criticism. Haha. On the same general lines, I have read some books that promote vegetarianism or veganism and they have said that you don't need as much protein in your diet as many sources want you to believe. What is everyone's…
  • Anything with HFCS, Glutamates and MSG for starters....that eliminates a ton of processed food for me. :) I used to be much better with them, but I need to get back on track with making sure to read ALL LABELS. :)
  • Protein!!! Anything I eat that has ground meat (usually beef) in it, I substitute the beef with ground turkey. Saves on calories and still tastes good. Otherwise, definitely fish and seafood. Just make sure to watch how you prepare them. Slathering on butter won't help any. Do you track your exercise on your log and eat…
  • Feel free to add me. I am 5'4" and 223 lbs looking to get to 130-150 (depends where I feel the healthiest). I am very active on this site and I too was doing Insanity. I had to put that on hold due to injuring my ankles during my last workout, but I am starting Hip Hop Abs tonight (Shaun T has got to be my favorite workout…
  • I'm sure it will be super boring compared to Insanity, but I have to do something with a little less impact while I finish healing. In August I'm having surgery so I won't be able to do anything for about a month. I want to get in whatever I can up until then.
  • Mine and my old roommate's favorite Paula Deen quote...."A good green is a greasy green." Hehehe
  • ] This isn't necessarily true for everyone. Not one person processes things identically to someone else. Everybody has a different chemical makeup that makes them unique in so many characteristics. How we process food, exercise and anything else we put in or do to our bodies is different for each person.
  • Another good book is Master Your Metabolism by Jillian Michaels. Our bodies weren't meant to process the amount of chemicals and pesticides that are put into processed foods. I wish you lived closer, I'd let you borrow my book. I'll see if I can put together some main bullet points and things to look out for on the…
  • OMG!!! Do their parents not talk to them about this? My "step daughter" (boyfriend's daughter) is 5 and she called me fat once. We scolded her and explained why that is incredibly rude and mean to say to someone. She understood and hasn't done anything like that before. In fact, when her and I were talking about me eating…
  • Feel free to add me. Mine's open for my friends. :)
  • My boyfriend and kids eat them. If I didn't have that option, I'd probably bake something with them and bring it in for the office. :) I don't eat eggs by themselves all that often. When I do, I usually keep maybe 1 yoke (if any) for whatever I'm making.
  • I love this show! I watched all of the ones that were on the streaming already. If you're into British comedy, I would also recommend Coupling.
  • I agree with the above. Have you exhausted all your possible options to work on the muscle underneath to make them perky naturally? Surgery is definitely a huge step and I would consider a last resort. That being said, I am having breast surgery in August, but mine is for a reduction and was deemed medically necessary by…
  • Thank you ladies! I just wish I knew how to help my brother. My family being judgemental and ignorant (especially my uncle who was in desert storm), can go jump in my opinion. This is the time he needs us the most without belittling him. I wish more people would comment on this string. I understand it's a very personal…
  • I just finished my first week, and I love it! I would love to have some more insane friends as well, so feel free to add me. :)
