Those are good ideas. Offer him whatever he likes and they also make ensure shakes that are frequently used to help meet nutritional needs. This is not an uncommon problem for older people. Frequent small meals are also sometimes helpful. I'm glad there is a doctor appointment in the works.

US Sizes. I don't know what the deal is. I'm just big I guess. :sigh: I'm about 185 now and there is no way I could even get a size 12 pulled up, much less buttoned.

Everyone is so different. If I hit my goal of 170 +/- 5lbs or even 165 - I'll still be a size 14. I can get some 14's on now but they are really tight.

Great thread. I love OP's first choice even if it is popular. When I reach my bottom goal weight I'm getting one. Might be the only reason I get there, lol. I haven't decided on anything for certain yet but I like this idea. Not exactly like this but the concept. or this only on my side.

I'm 6' tall and my ultimate goal is 165lbs. I'll be happy with 170 +/- 5lbs. My heaviest was 225 and I'm 185 now. Getting to 185 wasn't to bad but every pound is a fight now. I should clarify - my effort is the same but the weight comes off much slower now.

Strawberry yogurt banana frozen strawberries very thick - usually have to add milk. You could add ice cream or switch the yogurt out for ice cream if you wanted. I have tried it with ice cream and protein powder but the protein has a flavor I guess. I make these for my boys so calories are not a concern.

If it ain't broke don't fix it :) If 1200-1300 calories work for you - it works. I agree with those that say exercise works for toning, not weight loss.

I do a 30 minute DVD 5-6 times a week. When I get my act together I might change that up a bit but for now - that is super easy and I can do it even though I do not have my act together, lol.

Normal for me. Happens every month. I think it is a combo of actual bloating/fluid retention related to my cycle and my overall attitude that is also related to my cycle. No matter what I don't quit during that time. Things always get back on track - it is just a crappy 10 days.
