Everyone is different. I am terrible at eyeballing what a serving looks like. Just horrible. When I bought my scale it was a real eye opener as to how many calories I was actually eating. I have no plans to use the scale my entire life, but I need it right now to keep myself on track.

I was in the same boat as you. Gained a lot of weight after highschool by not working out and eating everything in college. Then managed to lose 30 lbs in 2012. Then it just crept right back on in 2 years. :(

He was a child. Acted like he had a mental disorder to get sympathy out of me. Then was verbally abusive towards me, such as telling me he could go out anytime he wanted and get another girl. He lied to me CONSTANTLY. I hate that I let that go on for even 7 months. When I look back I realize that I shortchanged myself.…

Take a break. Please. Part of the weightloss journey is allowing your body to recuperate from all the exertion you have put it through. If you watch your calories the days that you rest, then you won't gain any weight.

Basically just not being aware of the calories I was putting in vs. what was actually going out. I would gorge on all sorts of foods all day and think, "Oh I probably ate about 2000 calories", when in reality I was probably tucking away more like 2500 - 3000 a day.
-
Just watch your calories. I have been really sick the last 5 days, so I haven't been able to workout either. I have been making sure to keep my calorie intake at MFP levels

If you know that you struggle to say no to friends/family, try squeezing your workout earlier in the day, maybe before dinner? Also just let them know how important it is to you to workout, because it seems that they aren't truly understanding that.

I'm close to your specs. I am 5'6", 180lbs and I would like to be 155 lbs. Add me if you would like

I totally agree. I am a birthday cake fiend myself, ESPECIALLY red velvet. If I want it, I get it in small portions, otherwise I will go crazy too. Either throw it out or share the love. Give big slices to friends, other family that don't live in the house, neighbors. Anything to get most of it out of the house.

I just went to WalMart and got a pair of fingerless weightlifting gloves. You can find a lot of different kinds in the fitness section. You can always invest in an expensive pair, which will probably last longer. However, if you have a low amount of funds (like me :ohwell: ), then a $7 pair will work very well. Now I don't…

Based on today, it seems like you are eating enough to be at your TDEE. You should at least be eating at that level. 1200 calories is for someone who is completely sedentary.

I am in the same boat. Taking all sweets out of the house is really helpful, because usually I'm too lazy to make a trip to the store/drivethru for a fix. I also have started replacing high calorie sweets with fruits. Dole has made frozen chocolate-covered strawberries. 60 calories and 4 grams of sugars. They are delicous!…

When I started I downloaded Gym Pocket Pro on my phone. The app shows you different types of lifts you can do for certain muscles, including instructions, pictures and even videos. It helped me tremendously! This app isn't available on iphone I don't think but there are several weight lifting apps to choose from.

Spaghetti squash is great. It is ~45 calories a cup and you can pretty much put anything in it and still have a low calorie meal.

Inches are great! I've been lifting weights the last 3 months and my weight hasn't really reduced, but the inches on my body have decreased significantly. :)

Having a friend as a workout buddy has helped me tremendously at my workout goals!

I always assumed it was a gratuity....

I agree. I have a fitbit one and I absolutely love it. But it is mostly for if you are A) using walking or running as your primary exercise and/or B) are using it to track the calories you burn throughout the day. I do weight training and do the elliptical as my exercise, and the fitbit is not the best product for these…

A slice of chocolate chocolate chip bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. I swear. If I was stuck on a desert island and could only bring one item of food, I would bring one of their bundt cakes.

As long as the spinach is fresh, you can't taste it at all! I put a cup of spinach in with my protein powder, almond milk, and whatever fruits are in the house. Its very good. :)

My boyfriend told me he couldn't stop staring at my body. It made me feel things

Got my mom a nutribullet for Christmas. We both love it. I have made all sorts of interesting protein shakes with it. :)
