  • I would say no. Depends on your height, and how "severe" your pear shape is. I am an extreme pear. I am 5'5" and my goal wt is 155 lbs, vs someone who might be a little less of a pear might have a goal of much less.
  • Lifting weights is going to really help tone that area. I also am a pear shape and doing leg weights has definitely helped tone my leg muscles, making that inner thigh fat less noticable. Cardio will help burn some of it off, but you need to do both kinds of exercise
  • Disaronno and coke. Simple but delicious.
  • African, French, English, Native American, Spanish
  • Nutella is not allowed in the house. I am so weak for it that I will sit in the corner of my house and eat it out the bottle with a spoon. So it is banned, although I love it.
  • I am on Viorele and I love it. It doesn't cause water retention and I barely have periods (super light for only one day--isn't an annoyance, but also confirms I dodged the baby bullet for another month), which is fantastic. However, you might need to go through multiple forms of birth control before you find one that works…
  • Usually I don't realize it has happened until I look back at everything I have eaten. Usually my diet has much more sugar in it on TOM days.

  • Typically when 2 or more people make a pact to lose weight, only a small percentage are willing to actually do it. Losing weight takes work and it is very easy to fall off the wagon. Once one person falls off the wagon they will inadvertantly (or purposefully) try to drag everyone else down with them so they don't feel so…
  • When I was in college, a nosy church lady asked my dad when my baby was due. My. F***ing. Dad. He was terrified that I was pregnant for a few weeks. I had to keep telling him that I was just fat.
  • Just tell him. In the nicest way possible. When I got to my highest weight, my boyfriend sat me down and told me that he didn't feel as sexually attracted to me because of my weight gain. He still loved me, but as someone who worked out everyday, he wasn't happy that I was being sedentary and overeating. What he told me…
  • I had the fitbit one and I loved it. Pros: 1) Stays charged for about a week 2) Takes only about 2 hours to charge 3) Tracks sleep, how many stairs you have taken, steps, activity level (in the form of a cute little flower), and approx calories burned for the entire day. 4) Kind of water-resistant.... 5) It is awesome…
  • The problem with these quick fixes is: a) They cost a lot of $$$$ b) You don't learn a d*mn thing from a quick fix. A 12 year old girl named Brooke Bates had liposuction in 2006 because she weighed over 200 lbs. However, several months later, she was already starting to gain back the weight because she kept eating the same…
  • Sorry OP, that only works if you are in planet fitness.
  • Panera bread tomato and mozarella panini. I thought it was going to be low calorie because there was no meat, but it is 800 calories! Also any nuts ever.
  • This. 99% of people in the gym are so into their own workout that they aren't paying attention to anyone else in the gym. If you feel that shy, take a friend with you! Friends are awesome for motivation. My advice is good job for nipping this in the bud now. In college, I gained ~40 lbs in 2 years because I simply didn't…

  • Try Omron. They have a really good pedometer for about $15
  • The discussion they had regarding the airspeed velocity of an unladen sparrow killed me.
  • Way to put in the work!
  • The reviews on Amazon killed me. I think you would die of dehyration first.
  • Your family is so used to you being overweight that they have a skewed perception of what an "appropriate" weight is for you. Ignore them. You look fantastic! You don't look underweight or sickly at all. Let them hate. You earned your body.
  • When people are faced with someone that is successfully becoming healthier, it really makes them consider their own choices. Your friend is probably very guilty that she is slipping from her healthy eating and I bet that she is finding it very hard to pull herself back up. So she is trying to make you slip too. Because if…

  • It is great that you are cognizant of your health during your college years. During college I gained almost 40 lbs in 2.5 years because I stopped running track and kept eating the same. I would recommend that you invest in a pedometer. Walking around campus can equal to a lot of exercise. I used to walk 5 - 6 miles a day…
  • I wish I had seen this yesterday. lol
  • I'm not sure why. Fruits are high in vitamins and fiber. They help keep you full and can be substituted for other higher-sugar desserts.
  • I like you.
  • As pretty as some of these names are, I prefer simpler names. I plan on naming my first girl Iris. :)
  • As a woman with naturally wide hips, I am failing at sexual prowess (according to this study).
  • Was able to do chair leg raises with little to no effort today. When I started in December I couldn't even do 3 without stopping
