I use it because I am terrible at eyeballing a serving size. When I got my food scale a few weeks ago, I was shocked the difference between my guesstimates and the true size of a serving.

I use grams when weighing solid foods. I only use ounces when measuring meat and liquid. I have a nice scale that measures grams, ounces, fluid ounces and mililiters.

Weight training has definitely helped whittle down my legs/butt. I am a very shapely pear, and I accept my curves. I just want my curves to be less lumpy. :)

Nutella was a major food group when I was in college. I love it, so much so that it is no longer allowed in my house. A jar of nutella = major binge = guilt the next day.

Depends on how many calories I have to spare. If I have low amt of calories, I will get the southwest salad, which is delicious and a guilt-free 390 calories (grilled chicken and dressing). If I have a lot, I will get a chicken sandwich and small fry.

I completely understand why men don't like doing leg day. I'm a woman and leg day makes me anxious, especially if I know that I have to walk, climb stairs, drive, pick things up, etc. the rest of the day. I don't avoid it tho because I know that it is totally worth it.

When I was in high school, they had the whole school do the president's test to see how fit our age group was. For the pushup test, girls were considered "fit" if they could do at least 10 "girl" pushups. My track coach told us that if she caught any of us doing "girl" pushups, she'd run us forever.

Just do it. I promise 99% of the people in the gym don't care about your size. When I see a bigger person in the gym working out, I feel proud of them for starting their weight loss journey. Then I go back to my own routine and stop thinking about it.

Started seeing muscle results at about 4 weeks. I have been taking protein powder, so my muscles are getting defined quickly. After only two weeks, the friend I work out with started pointing out that I was getting stronger. :) It's been 5 weeks now and my muscle gain is coming along quite nicely. :bigsmile:

Amen! The trick is doing cardio/leg weightlifting to keep these beautiful curves from getting sloppy. lol
