The fat I carry around my stomach. Doing weight traning, I have started seeing significant muscle development in my arms and legs, but it has been a slow process in eliminating the pooch that I have. Also, because of the muscle gain, I have yet to lose any weight.

My idea of green smoothies is putting different kinds of fruits in a blender with a few cups of spinach. It really depends on what fruits you like. Personally I will mix anything together except apples, simply because they make my smoothies frothy. :/

What got me started was working out with a friend who already had a workout routine set. He makes sure that I show up to workout and motivates me during workouts. :)

2000 steps ~ 1 mile 1 mile = 80 - 100 calories (depending on current weight) So theoretically, if you walk 10,000 steps, you have walked 5 miles. This means you have burned approx. 500 calories.

Had spaghetti squash with feta cheese, olives, onions, garlic, a little shredded cheese and a little salt. It was so good! Also, a cup of spaghetti squash is only about 40 calories. :smile:

As a red wine lover myself, I would say to just cut back on the amount you drink. One or two glasses of wine is not going to derail your diet. Four or five might though. Also, since wine is pretty heavy in calories, make sure that you properly measure what you drink and add it in your MFP.

Ugh. If I ever lay down and my hipbones are poking out like that, I will immediately walk to the nearest fast food joint...and order one of everything on the menu.

I agree! I just bought this protein powder a few days ago and it is damn good. :) I mix it with almond milk and fruit, such as raspberries. It is delicious. Cuts right through my sugar cravings too :)

From my experience, men (esp if they lift weights themselves) are not bothered by a woman who lifts weights. Since the week before Christmas, I have been avoiding my scale. I stepped on it a few days ago and i had gained 4 lbs. I blame both food and my monthly "gift". :/

I agree. As long as the clothing is comfortable and can "breathe", it doesn't matter. Personally I like wearing cropped yoga pants (the legs stop below the knee), because they are comfortable and allow for movement. Any old Tshirt will do. I buy my workout pants from Ross. My mom did it and lost 10 lbs in a month! The Daniel fast is about cleaning your body out by eating very little/no meat, and tons of vegetables. Leavened bread is replaced by flat breads and pita bread. All religion aside, it is a very healthy fast, but it is just a fast. I think the maximum days they recommend is 21 days.
