The condition is called hyponatremia when there is too little sodium. What Are Some Symptoms of Hyponatremia To Look For? •You may not have any symptoms, unless your blood sodium levels are significantly decreased. •The presence of symptoms is noticed with abrupt changes in your sodium level. If your sodium levels have…

It probably is .... I was a salt freak before and now I really keep it in check. It has helped me a lot. Drink lots of water and drop the sodium down to 2000-2500 a day, it made a big difference for me and quickly at first good luck and stay determined, it's your life, your health and your future!

You should post the before/after pics - ps: didn't know you were a guy so sorry about the pedicure crack, although some guys do enjoy that!

Very great for you! Be proud, it's a huge accomplishment - so what's on the agenda? Pedicure, new jeans, or a bike ride? Celebrate your day.

Shower!!! LOL just kidding! I live in an area where that happens a lot, more so as the warm weather gets here. Just keep you mouth closed and jog through the "thick" spots. Cool that you continue to walk and get your exercise in - keep it up!

go to a good running shoe store and they will have a list of races that happen in your area, both locally and in the bigger city area. At least that is how it is around the Chicago area.

WOW, time for bed. I can't believe I just mentioned Jesus and Adam Sandler in the same post! YIKES

I recently ran an 8k - my first OFFICIAL race! I hoped for a 10min mile but did 11...more importantly my goals were to finish the race, run the whole thing (no walking) and cross the finish line with a smile on my face - I accomplished all three. I then got my time down to 10:25 on the next race. This being said, I did my…

Rarely have I been an athlete in my life, however I have been in shape most of my life....my advise comes from losing weight after each of my 3 kids (I gained between 70-75 lbs with each pregnancy and then lost it and got MOST of my shape back LOL). My advise is to go slowly and consistently build up. You know the ropes,…

This is so great for you! My daughter & brother convinced me to sign up for an 8k for my first run and I did it....also made my next race of 5k seem a lot easier LOL. Good shoes, great advice but get good socks too - No cotton - you shouldn't be getting blisters. When things start to get tough I think of something funny, I…

Hi and welcome! I look at it as a life style ...not a diet. A diet is so restrictive. I still enjoy food but the things I have changed are portion size, sodium intake (a biggie for me) and sugar. You can do this and the bonus is you will feel healthier and have enegry to keep up with those kiddos of your. Good luck and…

plus you will be surprised how quickly you gain stamina! Good for you! Walking was great for me when I got back to my regiment and now I am running...and I am OLD LOL. Good luck

Since I cut sodium & sugar down to nil I have been really seeing the pounds come off. And I like my wine so I have a couple glasses a couple of times of week. RED of course (ggod for your heart) LOL So yes I agree that you might need to watch the sodium intake - good luck and really 3lbs/3wks NOT BAD, cut yourself some…

Don't know about it .... yet! I am so loving running. All my life I said I don't like running even thou I was very active with other things so this is a big SHOCK to me, loving it that is. Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I will post soon that I beat my 10 min mark, hell lets go for it and say 9:30 HAHA

i agree with all and want to add to watch sodium and sugar too. Rarely do I eat processed foods anymore because most/all have a LOT of sodium. I try to eat a lot of fresh stuff, I also love to cook and eat so on days I'm going for something special (tonight for example - dinner to celebrate my 5k run today in Chicago) I…

I agree...7 almonds & a glass of water do the trick for me. I don't always get to eat at the exact time because of work and this keeps me from getting to hungry and overeating when I finally get lunch. Good luck

I am sorry but I have no clue...but I will keep you in my prayers - good luck with your surgery. PS: I work with doctors everyday, they tend to be arrogant... just poop all over them LOL

Hi & welcome. I work with a lot of nurses (I am not a nurse) and I see a recurring theme...you guys are great at helping and caring for others but often, not yourselves. Good for you to be here. Add me as a friend if you want. Congrats - you are well on your way

I will give this a try too, I'm excited because my arms are just to weak and skinny. It's one area of my body I would like to make bigger (well ok, it would be ok for my boobs to get bigger too LOL) I will let you know how this goes. Thanks! Chill about getting bulky woman...it takes a lot more than playing hide-n-seek…
