Great topic, I would like to know that myself....

I know feeling and what you are going through, my journey has lasted for over 2 years now, I got off the wagon in '09 for about 3- 5 months before I realize that I really needed to lose that extra weight that I have been carrying. Now I am back on it and sometimes you will go thru some ups and downs during these periods.…

The young lady only gave information about "MILK" and it seems to cause a lot of negative postings...... That is ready sad, because I really liked what she did in doing the research and giving the website for everyone to read. I hope that some of the negatives responses, don't stop you from continuing on doing other…

Everybody body is difference, what may work for some by eating most or all of their exercise calories may not work for others. What you need to do is find out if you really need to eat the calories or not to eat the calories. This has been a very popular and some times heated topic on "should you eat the exercise calories…

I can understand what everyone is stating. I have as we call it "cheat" days and that is usually only on Sundays. On that day I just eat what I feel like eating. Once the day ends, I go right back to my diet and workouts. I usually work a little extra hard on Monday and I don't eat as much on Monday, because I am still…

Thanks, this was very helpful...

There have been a lot of posts pertaining to the question that you are asking. I usually don't eat my exercise calories unless I am hungry. So I usually allow my body to tell me if I need to eat them or not. Overall each of our body is difference and while some may lose weight by eating their exercise calories, other may…

I feel that you are setting yourself up for a hugh weight gain if you try and lose the weight rapidly. By doing that, you are not learning about various food groups that can help you in the long run. I know that if it was up to most people, they wish the weight can just disappear. So you should if you can take the time to…

Thanks for bring up this topic: P90X vs. Insanity. I will be starting the Insanity Challenge in Jan. '11 (60 days), followed by P90X (90 days). So reading this gives me an idea of what I need to expect. I will keep everyone posted on how the body is changing, so if someone ask the same question again can give them evidence…

I fully agree with you in that you should not eat your exercise calories. I am on the 1200 calorie per day and usually I am always under due to my workouts (burn between 700- 1000 calories per day). I don't eat my exercise calories, but everybody body is difference and you do have to experience a little to find your…

Like everyone on that posted to you, this site does work if you follow what you eat and do the exercise. I had already lost a lot of weight (70 lbs) when I was told of this site by one of my co-workers. So far it has helped me to keep track of what I have been eating and exercise, including the calories that I have taken…

That sounds great, but the body adjust to what you are eating and not eating. I was on a low-carb diet for about 3 months and didn't eat any kind of fruits due to the sugar, but after my body adjusted, the weight was slow to come off. So like some of the other posting, everyone's body is difference, but the one thing I…

As you know trying to lose weight, is so much more mental than it is physical. Try if you can to do something for 10 minutes a day, just to get back started. Also try to cut your calorie intake down week by week until you are where you feel comfortable. My suggestion to try to take it one day at a time at the beginning,…

My wife is a Certified Zumba Instructor and watching the DVDs when she is studying them is GREAT... The Zumba DVDs would be a great choice to add to any other workout DVDs that you currently have.

I have been on and off of the wagon many, many times in my life. I once lost a lot of weight that people ask me to write a book on how I did it. But once again I was off the wagon and gained well over a 100 + lbs. during that time. Now it took me several years to swell up to that weight. (281 lbs) was what I was at. Even…

Thank you for the posting. I plan to start the Insanity Challenge in Jan. '11, afterwards go right into P90X. So it is nice to see that it works, and looking forward to doing the workouts. I am trying to prepare myself tor both of those intense workouts by increasing my workouts with both cardio and circuit training.

Turbo Jam is a great workout video, my daughter did that video at least twice a day before going to something else. I also did Turbo Jam (20 minute version) as one of my daily workouts. I stopped doing the workout, due to doing a lot of workouts that Exercise TV now presents. But I do plan to go back to Turbo Jam soon. You…

I plan to show my Before and After pictures after I have reached by target weight. But it is nice to see other Before and After picutures, they are very motivating and keeps me reading the topics... Keep the "faith" everyone.

Thanks for the informaliton, I will be starting P90X hopefully in March '11. This is after I do Shaun T's Insanity Workout starting in Jan. '11. So my New Year will be very challenging and I can use all of the help I can with these workouts.....

Just keep the "FAITH"..... The scale will start to show your weight loss. Right now your body is going thru some changes that may not be notice on the scale.

My wife is a Certified Zumba Instructor and watching her and my daughter do Zumba together is a treat to see. Zumba is a great workout and you will have fun doing it. I don't do Zumba yet, but I told my wife that one day I would like to add it to my workouts.

We all need to have a break every now and then. I usually take one day out of the week to just enjoy myself and eat whatever I want. I reset myself the next day and continue to do my workouts and keep my calories at my daily intake for the next 6 days. So as long as you don't fall off the wagon, you should be fine. Just…

As one of the post states, "you get what you pay for". I got a scale from Sam's Club several years ago, it was one of the scales that business uses. The scale so far have worked without any issues, and I now use one of my dumb weight to zero my scale. I had several digital scales in the past, only to see the LED going bad…

I have a "cheat day" and that is on Sundays. I usually don't count my calories that day and just eat what I want, including going out to a fast food place. I only do this 1 time a week (Sundays), but the rest of the days I watch my food intake and exercise about 45 minutes to an 1 hour or more. Also I am daily under my…

I weight myself once a month. When I first started my diet, I weighted myself once a week and then once every 2 weeks. I hit as we all call a "plateau" that lasted almost 2 months. So instead of getting extremely mad during that time, I decided to just do a weight-in once a month. That worked out great for me, because I…

I believe that if you can stay within your calorie limits for that day and workout at lease 30 to 60 minutes per day, regardless of what you are using to show the amount of calories you burn, you will start to lose weight. I try to eat my calorie limits, if I go over it is at the most 100 more calories that day and I…

Reaching a "Plateau" is something that will always happens if you are trying to lose weight. Just continue at what you are doing, but changing your routine will help. I have learned not to look at the scales (only weight myself once a month), but look at how my clothes fits. Also people asking are you losing weight helps…

Depend on what you are eating... If you are eating healthy foods and working out you should be ok. But I am not a expert on this, I get most of my information from studying the food groups and how working out helps your heart and body. Try and study what you are eating and to see if it is healthy enough for you to lose…

First thing you should do is take a picture of what you look like now. Put the picture someplace where you will always be looking at it. When you are about to get off the diet plan, just look at that picture again and again. Dieting is one step at a time, and to stay motivated you need something either to look at to stay…
