I used to do them, and then wondered why I still had a bad relationship with food. ;) now I bank calories throughout the week so I can use them on the weekends. I get two days of pretty much just stuffing my face with whatever I want, and I'm still on track. it's awesome!

more pasta, less exlax.

apparently, I don't have the brainpower to post images, today. but PREACH IT, GURL!!

when I really started getting serious about my fitness, my cycle went from 28 days... to 21 days. and I went and got birth control to regulate it. ain't nobody got time for that. ;)

one cookie = okay one box of cookies = not okay work it into your calories. savor it. :)

I would guess it's because your exercise calories burned includes your BMR burn, also. I have a friend that logs calorie amounts as her BMR. I try to just leave mine on the board. example: I burn 70 calories an hour just breathing. so for every hour I exercise, I try to leave 70 calories open on my diary.

this is how I'll be remaking s'mores, this summer.

weight it on a food scale before using it. if there's leftover, weigh that, and subtract it from your initial weight. :)

you don't get to pick where you lose weight, unfortunately; your body does. you CAN do strength exercises to retain muscle in certain areas during weight loss, though. :)

the rice brands that I buy, the brown rice is about 10 calories more per 1/4 C dry. so I would eat a bit less brown rice than I would white rice to stay within my calorie deficit.

I do the chest flies with dumbbells (and other chest exercises), and my boobs are perkier. there's not much of them left, at this point, but what's there is not as droopy as they once were. :p

just wait until you get a food scale, and start measuring out ACTUAL portions. mind = blown. cereal really IS supposed to be "part of a complete breakfast." but, yeah, put the haterade back in the fridge and love yourself for taking control of this situation. :) high five!

I do IIFYM and a weekly deficit. I get 2100 during the week, and 3750 during the weekend, so I can go out and be social and have fun (drink. I mean drink. ;) )

I prep three sandwiches (tuna fish salad) and bags of raw veggies on sunday, and then two of each wednesday night. I've gone four days, but... mentally, I feel like they're fresher if I only do it three days out. I learned the hard way that you can't freeze a bag of chopped raw veggies and then take it out to eat it. bad…

I have my diary set up to reflect chunks of time that I eat during. I do this mostly for those rare days where I sleep in and don't eat anything until after 8am. ...it's my way of bragging. ;)

nevermind. apparently I forgot how to do this.

I used to eat whatever for my "days off." now I have to count calories on those days, and reign it in to 4000. my best advice would be to figure out your weekly goals, and figure how much you want to eat on your "on" days, which tells you how much you can have on your "off" days. :) best of luck!

I've been doing this for three years, and I still struggle. I post my struggles and triumphs on here. having the right group of friends is what really helps. sending friend request. :)

I only log exercise if being on the app looking up every bite starts interfering with the actual trip. I don't want to be the person that tries to steal the spotlight from the vacation because "look at me, everyone, I'm on a diet." do small portions, drink lots of water, laugh, and have a great time. :)

look for one that has "usda" in the name. I cross-reference new-to-diary foods with nutritiondata.com all the time. it's a bit of a hassle, but I think it's worth it.

I do early morning workouts before I'm awake enough to talk myself out of it. ;)

I wonder if brownie mix could be applied the same way, for a more-chocolate-than-chocolate flavor...

waste of popcorn. I have high hopes that friday's "mean people" thread will be better.

I keep pre-weighed snack bags of fruits and veggies in my fridge. the crunchier the veggie, the more of the "edge" it takes off when eaten. ;) but I'm more likely to grab a pre-made bag than pull out something fresh and prepare it (and more likely to just grab the oreos). my sundays are spent portioning out food for the…
