I bank my calories throughout the week and have ice cream friday and saturday nights. these. I stopped a lot of my "binging" (which was more like a refeed for my poor, deprived body) when I upped my calories to a sustainable amount. now I just have to be aware of "mindless eating." it requires some thought, but, I think I'm worth it. :)

up your water intake. after a few days, you should drop some major water weight. :)

the thing with the "it works" product is that you have to keep using it. it's good for, like, a special event, but it's not going to do YOU any good. everybody wants your money in this world.

I save the drippings/grease/noms for cooking. there's an entry in the database for it, if you want to switch to that and not eat the bacon. but I can't understand why you wouldn't want to eat the bacon. ;) log what you eat and eat what you log. I do so to the point of licking the plate. :)

I have to work out before I'm awake enough to talk myself out of it. ;) I also find it helps me deal with the day's rocky points if I've already let off some steam.

all of my weigh-ins are post workout and shower. I try to do my runs (biggest burns) on weigh-in days. ;)

I hate the treadmill, too. I like (and do) weights, kickboxing, yoga, dancing, and walking/jogging/running outside. find what you like and do it. picking up heavy things might do more for "inches" instead of "weight," but are you doing this for the numbers on the scale, or for the way your body looks?

take it one day at a time. ...until you're ready to start prelogging, then take it a day or two (or more) at a time. ;)

I'd put it towards an olympic barbell; 45 pounds of lunky rawrness. ;) or a punching bag. or another pair of athetic shoes. the clothes and new scales and smaller weights all sound awesome, too. maybe just a card to sports authority?? I wanna win $50 towards something health/fitnessy! :p

I'm glad I found this post. I had been getting the alkaline water from TJs, too. I was having leg cramps every night and was trying to get more magnesium in my system. I also got new workout shoes at the same time, and now I'm wondering if the cramps went away because of the shoes. guess I'll try going without the water…

for me it felt like exhausted to the point of not wanting to try, anymore. and it felt like binge-ing on peanut butter when no one was watching. and whiny; it felt reeeeeaaaaaaaal whiny. now I eat 2000 on the weekdays, and it feels like life, again.
