Does it really matter? What if you cooked it, weighed the cooked meat to weigh the same as if it was raw?

Hello... I am 5'7 where a size 16-18 (18's are becoming to big :) ) My weight is 203. One I too will be in a size 9/10 pant wearing a medium sized shirt. Right now I am in a large shirt. It was not to long ago I was wearing XXL shirts and tops. Excited to be wearing a L top and in between a 16-18.
