LOVE beer. Guinness is my go-to because it is low in calories. I love hoppy IPAs, but the calories are usually too much to have more than one. Session IPAs give the best of both: low in calories and hoppy!

To all the haters on this board: have you considered that our life span is so much longer than our ancestors because of this? Lemon juice gives our body a boost to cleanse ourselves of toxins our organs never could! If you stop using lemons you will die quickly. Wait and see! Just kidding: I'm here for the sarcastic gifs.

This.

Great question OP. I am down a little over 50, 3 lbs from my target, and am looking to do the same thing. Mikey: is there a workout regime to use with the kettlebells? I do not have a membership either and looking for some home workouts.

Believe it or not, this IS the key and it is easier than you think. Ask yourself what you value more: the sweets or your health/goals? How long have you been at this? In the beginning it may be challenging as you shift your thinking to focus on our health, especially when you are used to As you progress you will find that…

My sarcastic font is which ever font is the default in the program I am using. I don't really know another tone. It's a blessing and a curse, depending on who you ask.
-
Yeah, that's probably it.

Not necessarily, but there is a correlation between sugar intake and this theory: the more you think sugar is the devil....

Thanks! Given the hiatus in my lifting program I am hoping to get some traction through home exercises (sit-ups, push-ups, dumbbells, etc) before jumping back into the big stuff.

I had the same question, but I have already dropped the weight (down 52 lbs, 4 from my TG). I have not done any serious weight training since HS football 20 years ago. Now I want to start toning, but I don't have access to a gym; my exercise has been limited to running. I do have a small set of dumbbells. Are there any…

Green bean casserole is only 71 calories per half cup?! Compared to everything else that is like diet food. I know what my plate will look like on Thursday. Thanks OP!

I feel your pain here in MN! One thing I do is head to the nearest mall. (Yes, I am now a Mall Walker from time to time.) Fortunately, my company has a treadmill so I can still get some steps in over lunch, but with the holidays coming up the mall should make for a nice change of scenery.

Unwashed produced. Unwashed hands handling food. Cleaning that up is clean eating I can get behind! Then again, a little grit in my baked potato adds some nice texture. I guess it's dirty eating for me! That, and the dirty beer I wash it down with. DIRTY!

I go for grilled entrees like chicken, or salads with dressing on the side. At least with those I feel like I can estimate what I am consuming. Sometimes I will even ask the server to confirm the meat weight. Warning on salads: most restaurants put a TON of calorie-adds on there like cheese and crutons. If you are focused…

This happened to me last week after a 3-week plateau. It was hard for me to believe, too, but this week says it's true!

You don't say....

This with one caveat: if you are eating the calories back from your workout it might be more worthwhile to you to eat larger meals early in the day followed by a light dinner. That way you can be more satisfied throughout the day and sleep away any hunger that might remain.

^^^^Yeah, this too.

As a guy who has been there (though I am 40 lbs down now) I always to solace in these facts: 1. No matter how fat/obese you are/think you are there will always be someone on the beach that is bigger than you. This one may not be the nicest thing to think, but I was not judging others. I was only hoping that those people…

Without being able to see your diary and knowing your height/weight it is hard to say where you might be having an issue. Are you tracking all of your calories and staying under your target? I was eating healthy before I started MFP, but the QUANTITY I was eating prevented weight loss. It might be too that if you are…

Same here: 20-30. In my experience it also depends on how often it's been since you've been around a person. The more often you are around someone the less impactful that drop will look because they see it as it happens.

Because it is something people think about every. single. day. You know, like "would you marry/spank/workout with/date the person above you?" and "should I eat less than 1200 calories?"

I weigh-in twice a week. I do Tuesday morning just in case the weekend caused some....fluctuations, and Friday as a nicely spaced day from Tuesday. I tend to count only the Friday since I reached my second GW and move more slowly toward my final GW.

You won't be disappointed!

Here is a repost of a comment I made on another thread: My journey back into MFP started when my wife bought me a Jawbone UP24 for Father's Day. No matter what you get, having a fitness band is a great way to track your activity! I highly recommend getting one. The great thing about them is they interact directly with MFP…
