Congratulations on this decision, know there are a lot of people here who will be a great support network for you. Celebrate the small victories, and don't look too far down the road. The journey may seem long, but if you are always looking at how far you have come, and make small manageable goals, the journey will go more…

Thank you for the recipes. I found several I would like to try.

Right now...Peanut Butter

I close my eyes and jump on.

Ok, so I had to buy an obsene amount of candy for a group of young people who were coming to a party instead of hitting the streets. I managed to open all of the bags, sort through the candy and separate it. I was able to get through the process, deliver the treats, and watch while the girls grabbed their fill, all without…

I read this post and felt happier that I am in my work "closet" enjoying my celery sticks..salsa..and Tablespoon of peanut butter. Made me proud of myself that I didn't eat any of the extra Halloween candy that is sitting just outside of my office not too many steps away. Thanks for the funny post!

Don't look too far ahead, only enough to look at yourself today and to be proud of the decisions you have made. Don't look too far back, only enough to see how far you have come. Take each morning as a gift of endless opportunities, and rest each night after a job well done. Continue to have courage and look for support…

I have had so many people in my life giving me support. Friends, co-workers, church, family all amazing. I had a friend who surprised me with a shopping trip to Ross. I thought she wanted to shop, we got out, and she said she was so proud of me, she wanted to do something special, and to just let her do it. That was a…

It was really hard at first, having to get up 4:45-5:00, but after a while, it has become routine. I also walk during breaks and lunch, but always have the thought....What if I don't have time to walk during the day, how bad would I feel not getting any exercise in?..That is one motivator. The other is looking at myself in…

I have to be sooo careful, so when I am overwhelmed with a chocolate need....Hershey's sugar free chocolate bars. or Hershey's sugar free with caramel. These help take the craving away. Not exciting, but it does work for me.

All along my journey I have had little goals. None with time limits, because it is too hard to pinpoint what my body will do. I used target goals. I looked ahead at the next drop and realized ..ok, if I lose 10 more than I would weigh as much as this friend, or 10 more and I would weigh what I did when I started my job 15…

10 pounds in a week may be a bit extreme, but I am with you all the way with the Giants! Great to be a fan of a team with such a cast of characters!

Cross my fingers I haven't had any real gains yet, (an tenth or two bouncing up and down) but know I will someday, so don't know for sure, but probably not. I already don't post my actual weight loss until I go around 2 pounds below what I have posted, just in case I bounce up a little. I dont' want to see any words saying…

Thanks, Never heard of PB2 either, will need to locate some. Sounds excellent for thai dishes but will help keep the caloric content down.

Interesting ideas. I have only had quinoa once, but liked it. May have to try some of these recipes. Thanks!

Thanks for adding the pictures. These look really good, and easy as well which is helpful.

Yum!! Thanks!!

I do let people know, a lot of my friends are allergic to dairy, wheat, and one friend to many of the fake sugars. I let everyone know what is in whatever I make. I don't want anyone getting sick on my food.

Thank you sounds really good! Would like to try this with a chicken substitute.
-
Pillsbury makes a sugar free yellow cake. I don't add a lot of water, just a little bit at a time until I think it looks moist enough. Next time I will measure and let you know.

Hurrah! Keeping for later. May have to make it this weekend!!!

Yum! Keeping for a later date!!!!

There was a thread a few weeks ago with some great recipes. I have tried one that I just love. EASY cheater muffins! I have now made these 3 or 4 times, and each time perfect. These also freeze well. I will pull one out of the freezer and have it for breakfast/lunch whenever. Satisfies my craving for baked goods without…

I have a couple of specific items.. One was a jacket from High School. I can wear it better than I could then! (Not that I want to though) The second item is a shirt that was purchased for a group of us providing music for a wedding. I could not fit into the shirt. I have kept it for a year and 3 months with the goal of…

Yum! Thanks. Glad to see more of a sugar free recipe with skinny taste. May try to change the brown sugar as well and make it no sugar added. Will have to try. I don't like pie, but I do like apple crisp.

That is so cool! Another great motivator to keep on!
